App St hasnt beaten a P5 team since 2007, you ******** perennial loser

P5 isn't even a thing and wasn't a thing then. App plays ranked, winning programs outside of the G5 generally. If they played a cream puff schedule like half of the ACC, they would have won. However, when you play LSU, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee etc. wins are a little more difficult to come by.

This year you get Miami at home and Wake Forest at home. 2-0. 11-2 isn't exactly considered losing. Considering Boise State didn't win 11 games in their first season and didn't win a bowl game (both of which App was the first to do), I'd say App is on the right path.

ACC is cream puff with schedules? News flash, its easily debatable to be the best conference

Totally with the mighty Wake Forest, Duke and NC State, not to mention Syracuse. Give me a break.

Every conference has bad football teams including the SEC, which was evident in the UT - App st game.
The difference is we don't root for the success of our opponents like the SEC does.

But seriously the only area App st is remotely at our level is OL. It's unfortunate for you that DL happens to be our strongest position group on Defense. Also the only thing you DL can hope for is to only get blown 5 yards off the line of scrimmage as opposed to 10 or more. You can't pass on offense, and your pass defense is laughable. You guys better be praying that Kaaya (a likely 1st/2nd round pick) has as poor of a performance as he had against FAU....but that's unlikely. It's just laughable to think you have anywhere near the talent or coaching to compete with us.

How exactly is the pass defense laughable? The game is won and lost at the line of scrimmage. If the play calls can allow the defensive line and OLB's to affect the passer, the pass defense plays better. UT had one long completion against App while App had an interception and another ball that should've been an INT due to pressure on Dobbs.

The offense CAN throw the ball, it's just a matter of how much. You don't need to throw for 200 yards a game to win.

UT is ***, and Dobbs is trash and only useful for running. Don't believe the hype saying he's a good qb, cause he's not.
Kaaya is actually good. We have good Wrs, certainly better and more athletic than any of your dbs. There is zero chance you DL will win even close to a majority of snaps it would take to slow down Kaaya. You guys will have to rely on the blitz which will just result in more big plays from us.
And you are right, you don't NEED 200 pass yards to win games, but that's if you are dominant at running and have a great defense. Simply, you WILL need to pass successfully to stay within 21 points of us. Sure early on or into the half it may be a close game, but there's no chance you shut our offense down from scoring 35+ points. Do you think your offense will be able to score 30+ points without passing well? If you guys are forced to pass, it's gunna get ugly real quick for you guys

Oh I forgot the other claim to fame "we had 200 yards rushing against Clemson". That game was 31-0 at halftime. Clemson was more than happy to let you run the ball over and over draining the clock in the second half while they rested their first team defense. Your coach wasn't playing to win, he was paying to pad his running back's stats.

I won't divulge where I went to school because it doesn't matter. What does matter is the collective mindset here that Hillbilly's and incest are a normal thing, however Florida is quite possibly just as redneck as NC.

I'd say that statement isn't 100% accurate

There is a large difference between App and FAU, regardless of what your perception of G5 teams is.

The defense is better, which I thought wouldn't happen due to the loss of Ronald Blair (now with 49er's) and Doug Middleton as well as Latrell Gibbs. The issue is that you haven't seen a true effort to throw the ball around which makes gauging how much losing three starting receivers from last year hurt.

The offensive line seems to have picked up where it left off despite starting a freshman at Left Tackle. Marcus Cox is a great college running back but I don't see much in the way of a future in the NFL.

Overall, I would say there is a slight improvement on defense and the offense has remained the same. The receivers that are playing now are more athletic and faster than last years however the game plan hasn't been to throw the ball yet.

The ONLY reason Eric can come on here and talk sh*t is because Donna F*#king Shalala let the players buffalo her into hiring Coker after Butch left instead of getting a Wartime Consigliere for an HC.

Richt is the first, genuine HC we've had since Butch was in town who will run this ship the way they do in the SEC.

I would not want to play for App State tomorrow, knowing how well Richt has prepared for this game.

In all honesty, I hope Miami does well, just not this week. It's good for college football when the Canes are rolling and with FSU certainly back to prominence, it would create a great atmosphere for the ACC.
