You just don't get it do you?! This is my life!!!

When the canes win, I am able to resume life as a semi autistic waiter at a Mexican restaurant in Hialeah. When they lose, I take the loss both mentally and physically. It drains my chakras and as a result, I become unstable and borderline bi-polar.

Casual fans will never understand the life of a real fan AND I wouldn't expect you to know anyway. You prob have a wife, 2 kids and a Labrador named Charlie. The type of person who says things like "it's just a game" and "why are you getting so worked up".

I have the Canes and that's all I'll ever need.

Message board culture is pure trash these days.

Ask any old heads who were around and on Grassy in the late 90s and early 00s—a much more logical, level-headed bunch.

Even during 1997 and 5-6 and probation—en route to and through the comeback.

Completely shytshow on all these sites and social media these days.

To be fair, the two eras are completely different. During the down years in the 90's, it was only a few years prior that Miami was dominant. Of course there is going to be more optimism even with how bad '97 was.

Now, we have not been nationally relevant for close to 20 years. The fanbase is beaten down and tired from not only being irrelevant, but with having to deal with some of the bull**** we have dealt with, whether it was any of the many failed head coaches, our moronic administration prior to Cristobal, Nevin Shapiro, etc.

Yeah, color me shocked that the message board culture is different now.
