The fact that the top 4 leadership positions as related to this football program need to be shown the door. The AD, the HC and both coordinators are complete garbage and in way over their heads.
Why in the **** does Enos insist on a slow down offense? Why is this **** forcing a half court offense on a unit who thrives in Showtime mode? Is it not obvious by now that JW is a rhythm passer and needs to get into the game early? Why would Enos wait until the 4th quarter to up the tempo, spread the field and utilize our speed on the perimeter? What we did with 10 minutes to go in the 4th is what we should have been doing all game and I don't want to hear that it was garbage time because FIU wanted to humiliate us. Davis wanted to keep us out of the end zone in the worst way. The problem was that they couldn't match up with us when we went into uptempo spread it out mode. Why we don't run that style from the very beginning or at least after getting down 10-0 is not only incomprehensible, it's negligent and shows a level of incompetence that cannot be adequately articulated here. It's a **** shame because the guy seems to be a good QB coach. I also like his playbook specifically his route concepts. The problem with Enos is he has no feel for the game or his personel. If he ran his offense in a matter that emphasized our strengths i.e. uptempo and more spread then he could be successful here but it seems as though he has no intention of doing so as evidenced by last night's debacle. As a result, he must be shown the door.
Blake Baker has been in over his head from day 1. Baker is basically everything that sucks about Diaz's scheme greatly magnified. It's obvious that he cannot be effective at this level without Diaz holding his hand and playing wet nurse for him. The same guy who brought you 4th and 17 in game 2 was back again last night gagging up a 3rd and 19, a 2nd and 16 and a game clinching house call off of a basic off tackle run play just to name a few. Baker got routinely bent over the sink by an offense who could only muster up 7 points against the mighty FAU. Baker needs to be gone yesterday.
The one man responsible for the 2 aforementioned bozos is the Head Coach Manny Diaz. I have said before that Diaz sabotaged any chance he had at being successful here by not bringing in the best staff possible. Diaz had no business hiring a guy like Baker who had never been a coordinator at the P5 level. He had no business hiring a guy with the mediocre track record as an OC to be his OC. Diaz promised a cutting edge offense that would play to our players strengths on offense. What we got was for the most part was a boring, excruciatingly plodding slow motion 4 corners offense from the stone age. An offense that demands that we neutralize every single advantage that we may have in order for us to look like a Big Ten team in the mid 90's. Yep! Diaz needs to go.
Finally Blake James, the man responsible for these lazy irresponsible hires needs to be releived of his duties immediately. This program just cannot withstand the cumulative damage being inflicted on it by incompetent beurocrats like Blake James, Jennifer Strawley and their ilk. They need to go. All of them.
