They need to fire Manny now

I thought there was 0% chance of this happening when it was told to me by someone who works with cbssports off the record, but now I don’t know anymore. Basically I was told that Manny would be willing to stay on as DC if a head coach was willing to take him on, also couldn’t imagine that happening. I still think it’s unlikely.
Sadly that’s the part of his job he does the worst

He is the backup option, so it makes perfect sense why he’s still employed. Apparently everyone forgets we’re dealing with Miami here

But the scary perspective is this, the dude actually might be still around because the school is putting it all in on mario

if mario says no, there's your answer as to why they're keeping manny around. Because he's going NO WHERE, unless cribby has something to say otherwise.
Cribby said he was fired months ago…

If Mario says no, and I was Diaz’a agent, I would literally ask for An extension and raise for being put thru this circus.
When has a school kept a coach and so openly courted another coach?
Good thing we can say “no.”

When reflecting back this, our national perception and the amount of time this is all taking will seem like the blink of an eye.

If I was the new AD I'd be sued by Diaz's agent 'cos I'd *****slap him if he came at me with that demand.

Spoken like a true attorney, “pound away at the table”.

Not sure who you think he was hiring that would make chicken salad out of the chicken **** LB/CB recruiting under his watch.

Full palate cleansing is necessary.
Anybody with a triple-digit IQ would have hit the transfer portal for two linebackers. Wiley E. Diaz, super genius, got zero.

Part of me feels bad for Manny but then I remember how he let his ego drive how he coached which led him to this catastrophe of a season.

Never mind the mind boggling losses, during his tenure he also rebuffed Highsmith and took over the defense instead of hiring someone.

Manny has moved every chess piece to benefit himself and failed, it’s the university’s turn to make its move. And let’s be honest he’s getting paid good $ to play his part in this dog and pony show.

We all know his time is up and regardless of how happy we are to see him go, the way this has been handled is embarrassing and absolutely classless. It serves absolutely no purpose to have him employed right now.

with the media circus, there is absolutely no way he is retained and even so it would dominate headlines for the next year or anytime they lose a game.

we better hope Mario says yes because at this rate, we're going to be struggling to find anyone of our expectations to even want to be a part of this crap show.

it's bad enough losing games, having the university dragged through the media AGAIN over and over is enough, Frenk needs to grow a pair
T, I'm with you bro. With everything going on it's a foregone conclusion the admin isn't happy. Be respectful and cut ties. Give him time to find employment elsewhere and move on

No matter what Mario decides to do either way he’s going to make a **** load of money. Winning a championship at your alma mater and coming back to coach it back to glory could be the final factor give a million or 2 etc. he would be leaving Oregon in better shape than when he arrived.

the other argument is finishing what he started at UO. Going to be an interesting next 2 days.
