I dont disagree, this is a complete systemic breakdown taking place with the UM football program

Where have you gone Sam Jankovich?
only 3 things will save Miami football the same way it happened in 1979.

1. a UM president committed to a championship football program.

2. an athletic director like Sam Jankovich.

3. a football coach like Howard Schnellenberger with the right vision and skills to succeed.

anything else is just continuing this endless circle jerk of mediocrity, incompetence, and bull****.

The centerpiece of that vision was an on-campus stadium. These short term woes would be irrelevant if we hadn't been so incomparably stupid and shortsighted in the early '80s.

You've actually got posters here raving about a contrived roof at a rental facility at the edge of the county.

Our opportunity to rebound and sustain would be considerably higher if we had that venue. We thrived as an outlier for a long time. Outliers are not sustainable. Schnellenberger understood that. Now that the outlier flukes have run their course, we need to compete and fight on the same terms as everyone else. Lack of an on-campus stadium is a drip drip drip negative every year.

I have a good life outside of the Canes. So I'll always keep all this in perspective

While I am EXTREMELY disappointed in our team's performance and wish we would perform better......besides the entertainment value I gain from being a Cane fan....I don't gain or lose ANYTHING.

When they win ....it doesn't make me a better person, owner, or family man...or bring me closer to GOD......I do not get better seats, better tasting food, traffic doesn't clear for me, nor am i treated any better when I travel or receive additional discounts at stores as a result

My fortunes and self esteem has NEVER been tied to how well the Canes do.

Maybe IF it did make me stronger, faster, better looking, live longer, have more women throw themselves at me, and become more respected by my peers....I would be more concerned....BUT it doesnt.....my life doesn't change

I've been a fan when the Canes were nothing, constantly GREAT and now when they constantly disappoint.....that won't change...nor will my neverending hope that we return to the top
Spot the fvck on. One point of fact for all of us, it makes me happy to see them win. It’s like a great night out with friends and family. Priceless 🙌 I am missing those better days and long for them. I can live without my Canes wining, but I’d prefer not to.

And it wouldn't need as big a footprint with fewer seats.

Welcome back.

Losses used to ruin my entire weekend and I would be salty all week. Just can't get that worked up anymore. I'll still watch whenever I can but I can't let the losses impact my mood.

I agree....... It can make for a "better" day

But our lives go on regardless of the results.
