#TheWork - Golden Puts Players On Gag Order, Pete Froze Out

KIM JUNG AL lmao..

people here are actually trying to say that because ****ed off fans on a fkin message board trash that fat slob of a coach (and rightfully so) it is somehow this dude Pete's fault and the coach is right in banning players from talking to him? lmao what a bunch of spineless cowards

this fat fk al folden doesnt belong here plain and simple. this is fkin miami. he is the softest coach ever, not just at UM, but I cant even think of a softer spineless gutless ***** of a coach in sports period. always trying to control the message. if he spent half the time and effort trying to improve his coaching as he does on PR, formulating excuses, and media control, he wouldnt be so fkin clueless on game days when we are gettin our asses handed to us. but then again, he just flat out sucks. i dont think he can be a good coach even if he tried. my god, what i would do right now to still have randy fkin shannon instead of having hired this pedstate abomination, excuse for a coach. this guy might be the worst coach in miami sports history period (****, that might be an understatement..he has to be among the worst coaches to ever coach in any sports)

..and lmao at someone giving this guy a job after the **** he has been pulling down here, ...maybe highschool, popwarner special teams coach.

he IS the ME guy, he IS the cancer that is eating away at the once proud University of Miami Hurricanes.

I was anti-banner for a long time, but I can't lie -- the banners were awesome last game. It's crucial that we keep the momentum going because the media will surely be watching. We need to leverage that visibility and expand our message for the greater good of society.

Fire Golden. Hire Butch. Free Pete. #FeelTheBern . RandalHillForCongress.com.

What did yall think was going to happen? Pete represents this site

Exactly. If you want professional access, then there has to be a professional product. At this site, they make all kinds of slurs, personal attacks, lies, disgusting comments, etc. about the staff that have exactly zero to do with football. It's a shame, because Pete does good work. But unfortunately he does it for a site that has little to do with UM football anymore.

Do newspaper/news writers get in trouble for the **** that is written in their comment sections? Those comments are worst than anything that is written here, and I may be wrong, but I never heard of a writer getting in trouble or blackballed because of what people write in their comment section. so gtfoh with that bs. if you dont like whats written in these boards then just stay on the main site and read the stories and content they provide, why the fk do you come and read the message boards? gotdam slurper smh some of these people im convinced work for UM PR Department, only way to explain this sht.

When pete first got credentials, i remember one of the mods making a thread about getting this site under control and cutting down on all the bs. That lasted for about one week. So they obviously knew they had to tighten up this site in order for pete to keep those credentials. That didnt happen, so nobody should be surprised at this at all.

I cleaned up my act when Pete got the press pass, a complete 180. It's a shame most of you couldn't follow suit.

The only other guy that I can think of that got the memo was Rokulika.

The rest of you are to blame. It's on you.

Actually newspapers and news websites have moderation that actually prevents the trash from gaining traction. I've never seen anything in the Herald, or any other real media site, where people are calling Golden a pedophile, calling Shalala a ******* communist troll, etc. Has nothing to do with "slurping", bottom line is press access is for professional media. Credentials are not provided to any random person who wants them. Professional media has standards. Like I said, Pete does a great job, but the website is out of control and he is a representative of the website.

Freedom of Speech goes both ways my first post on here. I wrote I believe in AL. And got a strike on this site for appearently trolling.

And was told two more would get me kicked off the site. When I threatened nobody.

I guess if you are a fan and you write something positive about the program or actually think the team can have a good season that it is unacceptable here.

Thats ok people can speculate all they want about how bad we will be even though we clearly are very talented. And they can speculate on how bad Golden wants to leave when he has more 2017 recruits then a lot of teams have 2016 recruits. Its fine.

But at some point when Al turns this around they will thank God that he stuck around through all the bullcrap.

People act like he has been coaching here under normal circumstances, this is his year where its put up or shut up and so far he has put up. Regardless how it has looked 3-0 is 3-0. And as long as Kaaya stays upright i don't see where these 6-7 losses are coming from that the know it all fans are wildly predicting.

:diaf:

Another moron who has no conecept of what freedom of speech means.

Freedom of speech is the right to communicate one's opinions and ideas without fear of government retaliation or censorship.

The University of Miami is not the government.

Last time I checked we still have freedom of speech. Talk to whomever you want and Sue his fat ***.
So if Miami tries to RETALIATE AND CENSOR their players from talking freely to individual members of the media by THREATENING their scholarship...... MORON.
By the way, there is also something called freedom of the press.

Miami is a private organization, they can do whatever the **** they want. Freedom of Association

i dont know, im not a media expert. but i for sure have seen on news websites like wsvn for example where every crime story is filled with racist comments way worse than anything here, celebrating peoples deaths and wishing death on races of people and specific people (and they are not joking either). and i never see them being deleted...but whatever...

that KIM JUNG AL name is well earned and UM is definitley over sensitive and running this thing like North Korea. Even though everybody is starving (in UM's case the coaching sucks, and the team is suffering and dying) they try to tell us its all good and anybody that protests gets executed (in this case banned/blackballed). smh

I agree with parts of your last paragraph, but knowing how sensitive they are, how could you not see this coming?

Theory is that fat worthless pig with no future Tim Reynolds complained to UM and Golden about Pete.

I remember him crying like a bltch about this website in the past. Probably tired of being out scooped by Pete, too.

I do honestly wonder if there is some resentment from the traditional media outlets when an up-and-comer like Pete (or CIS in general) "breaks" a story first, or develops better rapport with key players (as Pete has done with Kaaya, AQM, Bush, etc.). Some people like Barry Jackson have cited/credited Pete, while others (like Reynolds) seem to feel as though Pete is violating antiquated journalism ethics.

My HOPE is that if media members were partially responsible for this freeze-out, that they would kindly recall how frustrated they were when David J Neal -- who unlike Pete was directly negative of the team he was covering in his stories -- was blackballed by FIU. If they were outraged over that (and it was not just the Herald -- others banded together as well), they should be outraged over this.

As for Golden, keeping personal thoughts on his coaching style and performance out of this entirely, I am disappointed he would freeze out a UM student like Pete who loves the Canes and has done nothing but promote the program and share interesting but innocuous information. I sincerely hope if Coach Golden or any of his associates are reading this thread that they strongly reconsider their decision.

And for Pete -- use this as positive motivation and don't fight fire with fire. Part of continuing your career arc is learning to work around obstacles like these by continuing to do solid reporting.

All around, a disappointing situation.

The same reason 99% of the media are publicly opposed to the banners. Because it's the public dissemination of opinion that's not sanctioned by the media establishment. The banner is no different than sports talk radio. Opinion broadcast (literally) across the public airways. Only difference is that the banners are the opinion of amateur individuals and are not sanctioned by the media elites (or that's how they fancy themselves).

FLY THE ******* BANNERS AND **** AL GOLDEN.

Everyone should have followed the exemplary leadership of Mr Whoopingcane. None of this would have happened.

Perhaps Mercury is in retrograde?

So many brainless twits on this site it isn't funny. So Pete writes for a site that just had a part in flying a flag over the stadium that was negative on Golden. You dumb twits think there would be no push back? lol

As the one who broke this over in the land out west...everything said by WTH is basically spot on. Trying to confirm the fat **** Reynolds thing.
