He just thinks nothing will happen that will matter. He doesn’t think there’s a chance in **** that they find enough $ to bring mario here. And he doesn’t think anybody at the university cares enough to even try.

If we look at history, he is correct the university would rather have a lame duck year than fire quickly, the bot member even said it in paper again this week.. Coker has that extra season because he won a championship and fired all his corches, still got canned next season, Randy got extra season and then ran up against a boat and was fired, Golden got lame duck season. Wash, rinse, repeat. It has to be soooooo toxic and just a disaster before they even think about it, right now things are pretty good to them, keep cashing those ACC checks and giving zero *****. They will hold on as long as possible then call Banda to repeat cycle

They are 100% right about the Admin. They don't like to spend money and are cheap as ****

I still do not have any faith they will fire Manny even when he loses...too much money to make a change.

But their defense of Manny and putting on the players is BS.

Yeah... they didn't say that. In addition to what others have pointed out, they said they didnt see him getting fired (particularly mid-season) based on what has happened so far - not that he wouldn't potentially/probably be fired by the end of the season.

What I worry about is the backroom politics.

Manny Diaz is the son of Manny Diaz Sr. DiMare’s son is coaching baseball.

Blake James basically sold two head coaching positions to unqualified people with powerful fathers. Say what you will, but all it’s gonna take to keep Blake and Manny around is DiMare and a few BOT with business dealings with Manny Sr to dig in.

I don’t doubt some BOT want him out…but I worry about the ones who might want him in for personal nepotism reasons

If Miami gonna git a big name coach like Mario, the bulk of the moaney will be coming from boosters. That’s how this game is played in the big leagues. I doubt Miami has one ore moar boosters willing to pay wat it wood take. I hope I’m wrong.

You’re not wrong but then those boosters require more power for Their money and I don’t think the admin wants them to have that say in coaching matters
