There's a Path

Just going to keep circulating this ****. It will fall on deaf ears, but whatever.

Like I said, put us ahead of BYU and Bama and the committee gets themselves out of sticky situations and has the ability to still achieve a bama/

Why would the 10th ranked team want to play the 3rd ranked team, when losing means the 11th ranked team, whose at home watching, gets in to the playoff?

This isn’t my opinion btw, this is what the committee has said. Greg Sankey too.
I understand, I’m just pointing out that it’s not all risk and no reward, playing in a CCG.

Let’s say Bama beats UGA for the second time this season. There is a very good chance they would swap positions with UGA to #4.

That would give them a week bye, instead of playing 1 additional game on the road for the 1st round.

Committee

"Keeping their DC (who is ****) and their quality control analyst was enough for us to feel comfortable keeping olemiss in the top 12 at 9. We think ND is now a better team and justifies the 8 spot"

"On Miami, they stayed at 12, with ND now in a different pool, we didn't revisit the analytics (which are now identical)".

Not out of the 12 team playoff. Swapping out Bama for UGA ain’t the same as swapping out bama for a non SEC team. They even put SMU in the playoff after losing the CG last season.

The committee has said they won’t penalize a CG loser who was in the playoff the last regular season poll. More importantly, Sankey won’t allow it.
The committee never said that

If the roles weee reversed and miami was 10th now at 10-2 and bama 10-2 11th you know Miami would be out if they lost ACC title game for bama

I don't understand the hand wringing nor this sense that we are being slighted if Miami isn't selected for the playoffs. Miami has one good win and two terrible losses this year. There's nothing there that screams "playoff team" in my opinion.

Miami ****ed away its chances to earn respect with two ridiculous losses to poor teams. We get what we get.

Miami’s “terrible losses” have 1 more loss COMBINED than Bama 1 terrible loss who we beat

Trumpycane wants to know your thoughts

There will be **** to pay if Bama is dropped. Not a Bama fan, but then why even play in conference championship game if risk getting penalized?
Tend to believe Tuesday’s rankings or whatever will tell us if we have any hope.
If this is the case then get rid of the conference championship games and have the top 2 teams(yes 7-5 Duke) in the playoffs.

8 spots guaranteed
3 at large
1 G5

Listen to what people write if 3 loss bama not in there will be hel1 to pay?
People have been so brain washed by the media

The fix is in.

13th in the coaches poll
12th in the AP
13th in the ON3 pod.

The field is being cleared for the following breakdown:

5 from the SEC
3 from the Big Ten
1 from the Big XII
1 from the ACC (the fix will be in for UVA)
1 from the G5
Notre Dame

The Curveball is Lane leaving for LSU. If he guts the staff as being reported you have an FSU situation all over again.

Especially since Ole Miss really did hit the SEC schedule lottery…I think they are a good team, a playoff caliber team, but that resume is looking skimpy

And actually they got lucky again by not having to play in the ship.

They have win AT Oklahoma (and I have no idea how anyone says OU is 99%, like it's not even in the convo, their loss to texas wasn't close and they lost at home to ole miss, again I understand how you can make a strong case for them being in but putting this 99% **** in people's head is just dirty) and a competitive loss at Georgia. They barely beat Wazzu, and they did nothing else in SEC play, didn't play Tex, Bama, Vandy, or Tenn, or Tamu)

With Lane gone, compare our metrics to Ole Miss. We are better even with the additional loss. Committee can get Miami in and keep ND in and just leave Ole Miss out. Would make Kiffin a tremendous villain. Also means Bama and UGA are in. Would just need TT to beat BYU to assure them their dream scenario. Ole Miss without Lane is NOT a draw.

Food for thought for the idiots in the back rooms. But really, we should be in over ND. That’s it. Period. H2H with same metrics. Goodnight ND

To be clear, none of these sports pundits "wants us to get in." They are being paid to argue a non-existent dark horse scenario to drive clicks and views and to fabricate any sense of actual thought or consideration on the part of the CFB committee. Miami was out the moment the clock hit zeros in the SMU game.
