Just penalized UGA a few years ago out of playoffs. It's always been that way
Penalized every team last year on seeding

I get society has gone so Puzzy now but it's always been penalized
Not out of the 12 team playoff. Swapping out Bama for UGA ain’t the same as swapping out bama for a non SEC team. They even put SMU in the playoff after losing the CG last season.

The committee has said they won’t penalize a CG loser who was in the playoff the last regular season poll. More importantly, Sankey won’t allow it.

Man im doing this **** another week. I barely slept yesterday watching all these mediocre *** teams. If it happens it happens. I don’t have hopes of it occurring the **** has been crazy the last three weeks.

We will know Tuesday. If we’re behind ND, which I think is likely, there is no need to watch anything else. The results the next Saturday won’t matter.

I don't understand the hand wringing nor this sense that we are being slighted if Miami isn't selected for the playoffs. Miami has one good win and two terrible losses this year. There's nothing there that screams "playoff team" in my opinion.

Miami ****ed away its chances to earn respect with two ridiculous losses to poor teams. We get what we get.

They can’t make the SEC championship game a punishment.
It’s not really a punishment though.
The teams playing in the CCG’s have an opportunity to win and move up in seeding, over idle teams.

If you have an opportunity to improve your playoff position I.e., play weaker seeded team and potentially get home field advantage, then you should accept the downside of losing and getting left out.

Why would the 10th ranked team want to play the 3rd ranked team, when losing means the 11th ranked team, whose at home watching, gets in to the playoff?

This isn’t my opinion btw, this is what the committee has said. Greg Sankey too.

Here's what I'm afraid they will do: Drop Ole Miss to 10. Move up Bama a couple of spots so if they lose Conference Championship game they will stay top 10 and that allows Ole Miss and Bama to stay in.
