There's a chance we pick up STEAM.....

I've been a die-hard Cane-For-****-Life since the Miracle at Michigan in 1988.... But the first two losses of this season was the first time i bashed my Canes ever ..... 18yrs is a long **** time to wait for your team to climb back to it's right position at the top....

So i over-reacted....my bad.

But here's what i want to really say--

1) we still are a young team with a brand new Offensive system

2) we lost some of the best DB/CB (and couple wreckers on the O-D-line) from 2018 and are young on D as well

What this team needed was B-C and Central Michigan for the 1st 2 games of the season to get their game legs on -- which would have likely lead to a 2-0 run against UF and NC.

You can see it....

QB's (including Kosi) showed quick release and accurate passes that would have been effective against any team.

With UF's QB going down-- it's just a reminder to everyone in CFL that it's still early in the season... Injuries was a major reason for the last 4-5 years of our misery-- losing lots of D and O players through the years that certainly robbed us of wins....

And remember too that talented teams who lack experience can lose early games.... but eventually the talent kicks in once they get game time experience... and this is where you see teams begin their steam-roll as the season goes forward....

Barring any major injuries (knock wood)... I see this team picking up steam and winning out....

I am a FAN... which means you believe in your team.... I believe that Manny/Enos are greats in the making... that we finally got some 1st round NFL players back on the team...

If you can't believe in your team, then why are you on here talking about them? Go root for Bama or Clemson in that case....

Yeah i can already hear you haters saying "It's **** Bethune-Cookman idiot! Canes SUCK..."--- but it's not about that-- it's about the clear improvement in the speed they are playing. It's clear this team ain't tanking like Golden's teams used too...

Central Michigan will give the another "game practice" to get ready for the meat of the ACC schedule. Then let's see what we are really about....

GO CANES ****!

This game said a lot about our team even though BCU was overmatched.

The players WANT TO WIN and it shows.

They could have came out flat and gone through the motions with a ho hum effort and struggled to a 34-17 win.

They didn’t do that!

They played hard the entire the entire game, got stronger over the course of the game and got a landslide shutout.

It wasn’t perfect and there is still lots of work to be done, but they did what they were supposed to and you can’t take that for granted in modern college football.

THIS GAME MATTERED TO THE TEAM and they played like it mattered. That is proof positive that they are building a winner’s mentality. They had a lot of energy and were happy to be there. That doesn’t always happen when you start the season with two disappointing losses.

We may have concerns with the coaching and one experience with the depth chart, but I believe we have built a team with a never quit mentality.

That is the first step to turning things around and the coaches and players can hang their hats on that even if they can all be better.
