I've been a die-hard Cane-For-****-Life since the Miracle at Michigan in 1988.... But the first two losses of this season was the first time i bashed my Canes ever ..... 18yrs is a long **** time to wait for your team to climb back to it's right position at the top....

So i over-reacted....my bad.

But here's what i want to really say--

1) we still are a young team with a brand new Offensive system

2) we lost some of the best DB/CB (and couple wreckers on the O-D-line) from 2018 and are young on D as well

What this team needed was B-C and Central Michigan for the 1st 2 games of the season to get their game legs on -- which would have likely lead to a 2-0 run against UF and NC.

You can see it....

QB's (including Kosi) showed quick release and accurate passes that would have been effective against any team.

With UF's QB going down-- it's just a reminder to everyone in CFL that it's still early in the season... Injuries was a major reason for the last 4-5 years of our misery-- losing lots of D and O players through the years that certainly robbed us of wins....

And remember too that talented teams who lack experience can lose early games.... but eventually the talent kicks in once they get game time experience... and this is where you see teams begin their steam-roll as the season goes forward....

Barring any major injuries (knock wood)... I see this team picking up steam and winning out....

I am a FAN... which means you believe in your team.... I believe that Manny/Enos are greats in the making... that we finally got some 1st round NFL players back on the team...

If you can't believe in your team, then why are you on here talking about them? Go root for Bama or Clemson in that case....

Yeah i can already hear you haters saying "It's **** Bethune-Cookman idiot! Canes SUCK..."--- but it's not about that-- it's about the clear improvement in the speed they are playing. It's clear this team ain't tanking like Golden's teams used too...

Central Michigan will give the another "game practice" to get ready for the meat of the ACC schedule. Then let's see what we are really about....

GO CANES ****!

People also need to look around. What do you think the Sparty fans are saying about their O? How about UCLA, or FSU, or Maryland.

There are a handful of locks. Every other team could lose each week. We are in that group

Don't have to believe in them to be a fan. Although, I do believe in them to fck some more **** up and lose to some suck-**** ACC team with a corch before the end of the season....so, perhaps you're right after all.

Lots of potential in the season. If we run our home schedule:

We are 5-2, with a win against a top 25 team (UVA) and two road losses against a top 10 team and a rival at night.

Lots to play for

Good sentiments but don't let a blow out of an FCS program make you drink the kool-aid. This team is really poorly coached. There is no excuse ... to lose those first two games.

Manny/Enos greats in the making? Oh, God. You probably thought Golden was a great in the making after the 2011 Maryland game.

Completely missed his point or were too impatient to read it. Here, I'll make it in orange so you can read it.

(OP was once a whimpy whiny ***** like you but found his spine, repented and now has been forgiven)

But here's what i want to really say--

1) we still are a young team with a brand new Offensive system (The point all you sour grapes missed)

2) we lost some of the best DB/CB (and couple wreckers on the O-D-line) from 2018 and are young on D as well (Missed out on mentioning youth at Safety and Guard as well but you get the point)

What this team needed was B-C and Central Michigan for the 1st 2 games of the season to get their game legs on -- which would have likely lead to a 2-0 run against UF and NC. (Exactly! We play B-C, CM, UF and UNC in that order, odds are REALLY good that we'd be 4-0 and you'd be singing Manny's praises)

You can see it....

QB's (including Kosi) showed quick release and accurate passes that would have been effective against any team. (i.e. QBs improved over time)

With UF's QB going down-- it's just a reminder to everyone in CFL that it's still early in the season... Injuries was a major reason for the last 4-5 years of our misery-- losing lots of D and O players through the years that certainly robbed us of wins.... (I'm not sure I completely agree with this. Offensively, we were a mess and that was on coaching. Stubbornness, nepotism, and the unwillingness to reassign or fire coordinators and coaches or hire the right ones to begin with is the major reason for the last 5 years of mediocrity. That and there was some strange infatuation with coach playing Rosier)

And remember too that talented teams who lack experience can lose early games.... but eventually the talent kicks in once they get game time experience... and this is where you see teams begin their steam-roll as the season goes forward.... (Barring injury, we should see improvements each week--and we have)

Barring any major injuries (knock wood)... I see this team picking up steam and winning out.... (Yeah, same as orange marginal notes above)

I am a FAN... which means you believe in your team.... I believe that Manny/Enos are greats in the making... that we finally got some 1st round NFL players back on the team... (We've always had talent, we have competent coaching that can exploit that talent for our gain)

If you can't believe in your team, then why are you on here talking about them? Go root for Bama or Clemson in that case.... (If you ain't rolling, **** OFF!)

Yeah i can already hear you haters saying "It's **** Bethune-Cookman idiot! Canes SUCK..."--- but it's not about that-- it's about the clear improvement in the speed they are playing. It's clear this team ain't tanking like Golden's teams used too... (Preach! Bet Tennessee was saying the same thing about Georgia State. "It's Georgia State--the W is a lock" Yeah, bet they wished they didn't prematurely ejaculate all over themselves on any given Saturday. No game is guaranteed so when they win, celebrate that ****)

Central Michigan will give the another "game practice" to get ready for the meat of the ACC schedule. Then let's see what we are really about.... (Grind, Improve, Rinse, Repeat)

GO CANES ****!
It ain't Kool-Aid. Winning cures all diseases. A win yesterday, a win next week, oh look at that. You start chaining wins together and going on streaks. If you ever played a team sport than you know what I'm talking about. Sometimes you just need to shake off the funk, get your short-term memory on to forget what happen the weekend before and just play lights out. So what it was B-C. We won and winning is good enough for me.

Top 20 in both FPI and Sagarin

This team is much better than its record, and hopefully with a chip on its shoulder and some better luck the rest of the way, it can finish with 9 or 10 Ws.
