There went our playoff chances

Not at all.

This game was meaningless.

Once we lost to Louisville, the only games that mattered left on the schedule was SMU & Pitt.

The committee isn't going to keep us out of the playoffs because of a 3-7 VA Tech team with an interim Head Coach.

We beat Pitt & we're in.

Trumpycane wants to know if you’re ok?

You’ve been so positive lately

lol I personally think Miami is still in it. Just beat Pitt. Their chances of an ACC championship is the only thing that’s going to end today in my opinion.

I usually stay away after losses. It's getting to the point where you have to stay away after wins.

We are 9-2, have a chance to go 10-2.
A chance for back to back 10 win seasons in how long?
Kicking *** in recruiting, putting players high in the draft.

We have two good coordinators for the first time in years, where they are not *** on one side of the ball than the other.

The thing we should worry about is what we can control. Right now, win versus Pit.

Also, get out of this crappy *** ACC conference. That needs to be priority number 1 for our AD, getting OUT of the ACC.

lol, we can’t even win this crappy conference. Would you like to go to 2a?

Winning 10 games doesn’t mean anything. Nobody cares, nobody will remember. Is there a 10 game participation trophy? We play under our capabilities with a caveman of a coach who only coaches down to his opponent. We under performed to our potential yet again . We don’t deserve to win anything.

they are total savages according to some of our posters.

bc is the worst team in the acc.

they needed a 95 yard broken run an miss obvious hold call on that run to win by 15. LOOK AT IT
Get ready for Syracuse giving up at kickoff to erase all of that lmao

The #11 spot is a placeholder. There’s no way we get that given Louisville lost today and Pitt will have to beat tech plus Va tech beat uva. Our magic # is get to #10

I'm not sure where to start on this. So basically not winning a Natty means crap?

Just how much should we care about the ACC CG, the CFP doesn't. It means nothing.

Winning 10 games in a season is a mark of success, there are about 100+ teams that didn't and can't do that out there.

I agree we underperformed, but a win is a win.

Last, I don't want to go to any conference, I would rather play the game we used to and ND is doing now, in the modern CFP picture today, it's to be an independent and tippy toe an agreement with someone like ND does with the ACC. I would also sign a TV contract with someone like NBC does and use that revenue to booster our brand and NIU.

Then when everyone folds the two weaker conferences into 2 super conferences, then and only then think about going into another conference. When it benefits us. I would get out of the ACC because there is not a single thing they have ever done for us. i.e. NCAA investigations, the way they treated SMU as a first year in the league last year and putting us down in lead up to the ACC CG and the playoffs, the Heisman lack of support for Ward, the lack of support for us as related to the Wisky lawsuit and crap with them over our DB signing. I could also use the cherry on the cake of the flags \ refs bias, but that literally is the least of my grip with them. That is low hanging fruit others complaining and grasping for.

So that is my retort. Folks will remember ten win seasons, even more than conference championships. They are historical milestones that measure the program, long after the season. They generally are the only thing that is looked at past natty trophies. They matter way more than bowl games and bowl game results. It is what is looked up and see where you were, and measures where you are.

You ‘win is a win’ people kill me. Do you watch the game play, or just the final score?

you serious here? Like I live posted from twitter from the game. I have posts here from the game. I could go on about the refs changed the complexion of the game, but high level, Miami controlled that game from start to finish. Period.

Not putting 50 on them, that is on Miami, no doubt, but other things influenced it and they won by 17 with a spread of 17.5, so it went pretty much as everyone expected (Vegas doesn't get things that wrong for a bunch).

The only one that had bigger expectations is folks like you that want to trash that game. Which is ok, you have absolutely the right to do so, but that win is a win by EVERY measure, in spite of the refs and bias that occured.

Mario could and should have done better, I agree, but that game is exactly a "win is a win" in every sense of it, to say otherwise is to distort the truth.

you ****ers are so dramtic

utah is down 10 at half and they've given up 350 rushing yards in the first half

byu can lose tonight

if we get up to 11 then they'll find a way to get us in (assuming we win by at least 10 vs Pitt

We have to win by lots to get to the playoffs, and we couldn’t beat the spread, so yeah, we beat a terrible 3-8 team. It’s a win. Why can’t we ever win to our capabilities, even with the season on the line? That is the failure, even if it was a W. This is textbook Mario.

I disagree, basically the defense gave up 10 points and the last seven came late in the game.

It comes down to what we have all said is situational football. Mario has a tendency to get a lead and play ultra conservative. Why are we snapping the ball with three seconds left?
Anybody got a screenshot of Mario looking at the offensive play sheet, there’s no doubt in my mind he’s calling plays?

We didn't lose. We didn't change the position positively or negatively in that game. We lose that game, or if it was really tight, then yeah, we damaged ourselves.

There is absolutely nothing changing any CFP by that game. If we were not getting in before, we were never going to change anyone's mind with the result of the game. We could have put 100 on them, it would have changed nothing.

We did what we have to do, anyone that watched that game walked away knowing we controlled that game, start to finish. Anyone else looked at the box score, and said the things you are saying here.

I'm not trying to argue, I'm frustrated we didn't throttle them, but high level that wasn't in the cards for this game, for various reasons.

High level, nothing changed, we are exactly where we were, we were not going to change it with ANYTHING except a LOSS, not a WIN.

Beat Pitt.

How many times did they go for it on 4th down? Hard to look all that good when a team is playing that desperate

Mario and staff have to do a better job of preparing for and executing against teams like a 3-8 VT team

If we play like this next week…it’s gonna be ugly against Pitt

Hopefully Mario and staff prepare, show up fired up and execute next week

The game today was horrific

Big passing numbers for Beck
Big game for Toney

The negatives are obvious
Excellent troll job!
