There was a nastiess about us today

Shoutout to Chase Smith, he had great snaps. Jaden Harris has taken that next step. And the young secondary was great all game. We know what we have with the D-Line it is to me the best DE group in the country, Tyler Baron was underrated in the preseason national media wise.

Only disappointment was the effort from Sam Brown, but I know he will make big plays this year and produce. Next week I hope to see CJ mixed a little more, seems like they’re trying to keep him happy on KR but looks like Lyle passed him and Ajay Allen up in camp.

Chase has that throwback goonish attitude out there since day 1; hit-stick, bust-****, & ****-talking all day long. Sam Brown was underwhelming in terms of pass-catching, but I feel like credit needs to be given to the other side for not making things easy in that regard.

bro, our offensive players hurt guys lol. X with the perfect madden spin move destroyed their safeties knee and Damein Martinez leveled someone

No pregame shoving matches or after the whistle bull****. That insecure little brother syndrome, that leads to that kinda stuff was gone. It was a mature *** whooping, with the perfect amount of gator chomp mocking after big scores. A real we know we’re better than you and we’re showing it attitude.

Mario & co. deserve a ton of credit for the discipline; 2 penalties for 26 yards with the majority coming on that PI. Can't remember the other penalty, but it's great to see Dawson incorporate pre-snap motion without triggering illegal procedure penalties and generally play without holding or jumping off-sides.

This was a challenging set of circumstances with a new team on the road against one of our biggest rivals; it bodes well for us moving forward that Mario got these guys to play smart in addition to playing with a lot of energy.

When Meesh Powell had a convoy in front of him on the int return (which he screwed up by not waiting for them to block for him or it woulda been 6), it felt like nasty, old school canes.

When our defense starts housing stuff, then we are back.
They need to work in the INT returns. He had plenty of blockers.

Disciplined. Confident. Prepared.

Been a long time since we could describe a performance with those three words.

Not to be ****y but I knew this was coming all week. I texted @k9cane , @Udynasty , @IndayArtHauz all week I had a quiet confidence that I haven’t had in awhile. I wore Cane polos or shirts every day this week to work. Even when I had **** talk I’d smile back and say “ I know you don’t believe that , we’re just better on both lines”. They knew I was right too lol, I could see it in their eyes.

The flags will be flying high this week.
Confirmed.

This can't be overstated. UF is not talentless and didn't necessarily play badly; I thought defensively they took us out of rhythm quite a bit, but Cam/Baron/team did what they wanted to do anyway.
I feel sorry for the ACC. We're gonna annihilate most of the teams on our schedule. If we stay healthy, we'll be in the playoffs with a real shot.

Bud Elliot in the Cover 3 pod post game recap said that if Florida indeed get better then we’re looking at 2019 LSU type season for Miami because our schedule is soft and determined by the Louisville/FSU games.

The dude that said Baron was the top DE in the country may be right.
This is EXACTLY what I was thinking when Baron was going off. That Colorado podcaster called it and everyone that was in his chat laughed at him. He was breaking down Baron film when Baron was in the portal and literally was like, “Whoever says this kid isn’t a first round pick absolutely does not know anything about football. Deion needs to throw the bank vault at him”…he knew what he was looking at that’s for **** sure.

It wasn't even the nastiness... it looked like a cold, calm dissection of a cadaver..
Ward looked like a veteran assasin just methodically going about his way... almost bored

Someone, please put Cam Ward's face on this dude, because that is who he reminded me of out there.

Sam didn't do a ton receiving, but he did have that great block that cleared the way into the end zone for Fletcher on his TD run
