I mean they aren't even bowl eligible. I'd rather see a team that played all year and had the results. If Indiana wins the BIG they should get a chance to play. ****, I'd even take an outside look at CCU
You said it all.. they aren't even bowl eligible. Should easily be the end of discussion.

Dammit.. didn't know that. I guess everybody gets a trophy this year. Well osu can visit the We Didn't Play Enough Games Bowl and play somebody from the pac12.

For those wondering if OSU can get into the CFP having played just 5 games and no BIG10CG, the answer right now appears to be yes. If that were to happen there should be a revolt from the other schools!

The way it’s going I’d rather have the BCS back and just let top 4 teams play. Was a whole lot more analytic than letting these old *** folks, some associated with schools and conferences to just throw **** based upon eye test and stars on roster or being allowed to put any ranking out to boost a ****** conference like Big 12 because they jumped on first like ACC and SEC.

or have committee be one of the polls that count and then have computers involved again.

I really hated BCS when it didn’t go our way in 2000 but I don’t trust any of these guys who don’t have to explain themselves.

or expand to 8 teams have all conference winners in power 5 go and allow only 1 more team from power 5 in the final 3 or allow an exceptional smaller school.

In all those previous scenarios the conference champion also made the playoffs. NW or Indiana ain’t making the playoffs
Not all - the last time OSU didn't make the conference title game but still made the CFP, Penn St won the division and conference and went to the Rose and not the CFP

So.... If Nick Saban and Dabo were smart they’d just prepare for their first game of the year only, beat that team as bad as humanly possible (77-7) then pull an FSU and skip the rest of the season. Then they have the entire season to stay healthy, prep for the playoffs and practice. Brilliant.

Lol

CFP is becoming just as a joke as The NCAA. I’m all for ******** Taint; but like I just told my homie, the CFP do what the d they want. Remember a couple yrs ago, they took a Bama team who didn’t even win their conference or division over OSU w/ one loss & The B1G champion. That’s when I knew the CFP just be on some other bull chit (even though Bama did win the title that yr)

Even though Bama didn’t play for their conference championship, it was easy to see they were one of the four best teams. Just like the CFP’s inaugural year, they got flack for putting OSU in. I agreed with that and actually won a lot of money betting them against Bama.

This year isn’t that though. Playing 5 games against bad teams, hasn’t proved anything. Last year doesn’t mean anything. There are no logical arguments, that show they are one of the best 4 teams. There best win is by 7 points, to a team who hasn’t beaten anybody either.

Corona isn’t going away. Who’s to say next year, teams won’t pull an FSU against their best opponent to angle their way to an undefeated record? We could’ve done that with Clemson.

Oh I get you; but the premise was to put the Conference Champions in the CFP. The ? was how do u put a team in the CFP who didn’t even win its own division or conference? Then the narrative changed, that year, that the committee’s responsibility was to put in the four best teams, “regardless” of them playing for their conference championship or not.

So now that they’ve made a statement saying there r no min. games required to qualify; I’m like they are moving the goal post, again, to fit whatever conclusion they feel.

I mean, it is what it is, but I feel that it’s a human version of the BCS where u can’t quite tell which way things will go.

Take the top 10 teams and start the playoff next week first two rounds the higher seed is home then go to the bowls. No Conference Ships for the power 5. Let all the conferences pick matchups of rest of their teams to keep playing a game or 2 more as well.

Honestly, they shouldnt crown a champion this year. Conference championship only and bowl games .... No CFB playoff because you cannot accurately gague teams that played less games than those who played more.

Yep, it's bull****. 4 best Power 5 Conference Champions should compete for it.

Don't make it harder than it has to be.
