So the argument is about OSU basically and conference championship.

I could've sworn just the other day I was reading a thread with people dreaming up scenarios to get us in without a conference championship berth. You know, the Domers lose this past weekend get demolished by Clemson, and away we go with a punches chance.

***** OSU, but put the four best teams in. If you believe OSU is one of them, so be it. I know one **** thing in this whack *** year, if we were in their position, we would be reading far different posts in this thread.

Oh I get you; but the premise was to put the Conference Champions in the CFP. The ? was how do u put a team in the CFP who didn’t even win its own division or conference? Then the narrative changed, that year, that the committee’s responsibility was to put in the four best teams, “regardless” of them playing for their conference championship or not.

So now that they’ve made a statement saying there r no min. games required to qualify; I’m like they are moving the goal post, again, to fit whatever conclusion they feel.

I mean, it is what it is, but I feel that it’s a human version of the BCS where u can’t quite tell which way things will go.

That’s exactly what it is. They’ve made it to where records only matter to a certain degree and it’s all about their version of the eye test.

Even though sometimes I feel like it’s warranted to put a team in that didn’t win their conference, (when there aren’t 4 conference champs with 1 loss or less) this year is completely different. It’s one thing to see everybody play 12-13 games so we know who everybody is, but the discrepancy of playing 10-12 games compared to 5-6 is too much to get past. This is why they didn’t set a minimum requirement. They wanted leeway to put in a Big 10 or PAC 12 school. I believe I’m in the majority when I say that’s BS. The conferences need to held accountable for their awful handling of the season, not the schools that played a full schedule and get left out.
