Official There Is No Changing Course

Let's not kid ourselves, Howard was handed an often overlooked Great class from Saban...and I love Howard. I spent a few hrs with his wife Beverly a yr ago. Love them both. But when you take a look at what Saban handed him in 79/80...It sure made things alittle easier during the beginning of his tenure. Look at what Howard, JJ and Erickson were handed...then look at the quagmire Butch was handed, and it puts things into perspective rather quickly.

Howard went 5-6 his first year. Mmmno, not a great class. Great coaching though, cause he went 9-3 the following year, winning the Peach Bowl. 7-4 the following year, then the Orange Bowl.
What??...Saban last class wasn't Great??...C'mon man....go look at that class and tell me it wasn't Great. I was on the phone with one of the players in Sabans last class for an hour last night...Please stop it...

The fact is, we will likely never ever be a consistent winner again.
You have a chinese fire drill on the sidelines now, no chinese guys, just a fire drill and its less obvious unless you pay close attention.

1st and goal...stuffed! WHAT DO WE DO WHAT DO WE DO??? Trust the process...run it again.
2nd and goal...STUFFED!! WHAT DO WE DO WHAT DO WE DO??? TRUST ME, WE'LL GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME!!
3RD and goal...STUFFED!! WHAT DO WE DO WHAT DO WE DO??? They'll never expect the old middle dive, no CWM!!
4th and goal, ...NOW WHAT? can we get Mallory into the flat? no, he's running slow today, how about a jet sweep/ NO that will never work. Incomplete!

Uh, is that all the chances we get?
UNC is one of the worst rushing defenses in the nation. It really shouldn't take a surprise play call to pick up two yards. I wanted the ball in TVD's hands because he was hot but I still can't excuse the OL and RB for not getting two yards in 3 attempts.

Can somebody post the clip from Any Given Sunday where Pacino invites Jamie Foxx over for chili, because that is the vibe I’m starting to get.

Someone should hide the last 3 superbowl stats and teams from Gattis and Mario before they become super confused as to how this is possible LOLOL. These guys literally live in an alternate universe.

Just to recap. Last years super bowl winning QB threw it 40+ times. In two trips to the super bowl the Chiefs Mahomes has averaged close to 50 passes per game (1 win, 1 loss). The current super bowl favorites (Bills) throw it 40+ times a game with what will likely be the NFL MVP in Josh Allen.

Tom Brady pass attempts in the super bowl:
48
48
48
62
50
41
Etc

LOL

A number of us were fearful of this, knowing that we don't have the personnel for it in 2022. Establish dis dik Cristobal you big dufus.

Don't need to see above at all...The Topic was...that Saban left Howard an excellent last class...and a plethora of excellent players from 77 to 78 as well...which is 100% correct. I don't need to be told that Howard had excellent coaches...some were hold overs from Saban. But to say that Howard wasn't given some Grade A talent is ludicrous...most of the Seniors on the 83 NC team were Sabans.

Dude, Paterno wanted Kelly to play LB…you may only want to hear what you want to, but the truth is, go look up who was coaching our QBs, RBs, and the D. Those Saban players under Saban would have amounted to mediocrity. It was Howard’s smoke pipe chess coaching & local recruiting that brought the first natty To us. But you’re free to have your opinions.

Taking to game five to get slapped with reality is just crazy. Then they still kept forcing runs into a loaded box for hundredth time with no success. So they’re still being hardheaded. My fear is he thinks this is only short term , until he loads the roster up and can play caveman ball. My hope is he’s getting slapped with some reality and it breeds new ideas. Seeing the game different. I guess that’s tbd.

It was probably a game late. They should have learned that lesson after Texas A&M. Instead they ley MTSU happen.

I actually have a little bit more hope in that Gattis did say f*** it and threw the ball all over the place. I know people won't give him credit for that but how often do you see an OC in college do what he did with Tyler Saturday?

Honestly, with all this talk about are we gonna run or pass, my hope is that once we have a good running game and passing game that the opponent dictates that decision. That's the way the game should be played. If Gattis is capable of doing what he did against UNC maybe there's hope. I don't want Lashlee and I don't want Mario. I want what's between them.

U...not following you here...

Are you saying that even though Saban recruited a core group that Saint Schnelly built around, they would have underachieved if Saban stayed due to Corching?

Read my post wayyyy before your post where I said Paterno wanted him to play LBer, before you run your mouth. I need no lessons on UM FB from 75-83 since I was a regular at games during both regimes.
