MEGA There’s Still Hope for the ACCCG/CFB Playoffs Mega Merge Thread

No idea but i know this committee has put teams who have played back to back in the rankings 14 times and in all 14 cases, the team that won head to head was ahead.

I remain adamant. You cannot reveal a ballot Sunday that says ND 10 and Miami 11. That cannot happen. Do they rig it some other way? Leave BYU 11 with a loss? Move Bama down to 10 if they lose? Maybe. But 10 ND and 11 Miami can’t happen.

Why isn’t there a way where if bama and byu lose. It goes 9.ND 10. Miami 11. Bama 12. BYU. That would make too much logical sense.

This whole thing is so dumb and out of control. So does this mean our loss to Louisville is now a good loss since they were JMU’s 1 loss? I’m so tired of the 500 off hand facts being twisted into a pretzel when the 2 main factors for figuring out what team is more deserving are staring you in the face. Only this bs committee factors 5th tier stats over head to head and common opponent.

If we are going into mental gymnastics land, USF beat Boise 34-7. ND beat Boise 28-7. So that would mean ND is 21 points better than Boise. By virtue of the additive property our win over USF would make us 64 points better than Boise. Thus in turn adding a data point that proves our win is more impressive.

Or we could just collectively pull our heads out of our asses and realize Miami beat ND.

While looking at all these scenarios between who beat what team I saw that Miami actually played Notre Dame on August 31st and Miami was victorious. Maybe not as significant as Boise State beating Unlv but it should be considered.
Come on man. ND was tied for like 10 minutes of game time vs us. That essentially equals a 100 point win for ND vs us.

ND’s chances to make the playoff are down to -260 on FanDuel.

DK is the same as yesterday

-320 ND
+310 Miami

ND was as high as -4000 a few weeks ago. I have plenty of receipts on here saying ND was 1000.0% in at 10-2. I didn't think the literal exact last spot would come down to Miami or ND ONLY. In that situation, it has to be Miami. It's insane how this has played out.

ND is -250 on fan duel today

ND was as high as they were because they were #9. There were almost no scenarios that would bump them out from #9.

As soon as the committee slid them down to #10 , last team in, they introduced 2 scenarios where they could get bumped out. That, along with a zero % chance they stay in if BYU wins today, explains their slide.
