There’s no margin for an ACC or BIG12 team. Even going 11-1 isn’t enough to guarantee a bid because the aforementioned will get preferred treatment.

ACC/BIG12/G5 conferences need to create an alternate to the cfp and crown its own natty champion. The only leverage they have is a PR campaign where you challenge the legitimacy of the current cfp championship.

Crazy to think if you would’ve told anybody before the season started that our defense would end up being one of the best in the country, Beck would complete 75% his passes, Toney would emerge as the greatest UM freshman of all time, and that we would beat Notre Dame, Florida, Florida State and go 4-0 to end the season, you would’ve thought undefeated and ranked in the top 2 going into the playoffs.
