MEGA There’s Still Hope for the ACCCG/CFB Playoffs Mega Merge Thread

If we win tomorrow and don’t make the playoff, than I hope two things. 1. Its Duke that wins it so the ACC drop to G6 credibility and 2. We get Texas in the Gator Bowl.

Still holding out hope we get chaos tomorrow, but man, outside circumstances are falling for us at the moment.
 
We must get to the ACC championship at this point.

If Michigan some how wins.. this committee is going to have some **** on their hands.. they’ll have to figure out how to get both Texas and UMich in and they won’t be able too

In that case it would be a 12 team playoff with 11 SEC and Big 12 teams. Ridiculous.

Wait to see if somehow BYU beats TT.

Now you have to take 2 from the Big 12.

Miami would surely be out then and so could Alabama.

Bama is the one in jeopardy. Notre Dame is in no matter what, IMO.

Some ****** G5 team will also be in, undeservedly so, as well as an undeserving ACC team conference champ if not Miami.

If we don’t make it into the playoff, are you sure you want that in a bowl game? My concern would be all of the opt outs.

We will be severely weakened in any bowl game (see last year vs Iowa State).
 
What am I missing here.......if Bama loses and BYU loses in the conference championships....do we not move up?

I disagree on ND.
I honestly may be naive but I think we can still pass them. You just can do it on a week they win 70-7. Even if Fran Brown got on all 4s with a bottle of baby oil like he's at a Diddy party.
Stanford needs to keep it respectable.

The Bama question is interesting.....historically the teams who lose the conf championship games dropped a spot or two.....that would drop Bama out.

But Greg Sankey will lose his mind if Bama gets dropped out for losing the SEC CG.

Bama losing will ONLY WORK IF IT'S TO AN AWFUL AUBURN TEAM

they will never drop the runner up who played in the SEC title game!

You may very well be right. I am just saying the losers of the CGs last year dropped a spot or two. If Bama is #10 and they drop a spot they are out. It would be their 3rd loss of the season and one was to a terrible FSU team.
