Guaranteed this guy went to Lock Haven or Bloomsburg if any college, I have classmates that went to University Park and they aren't half the ******** the people who didn't go are.

We can clown on UF or FSU for having delusional fans but we have plenty of them. Every fan base does. It’s part of fandom. Possibly the greatest thing about sports is that hope springs eternal. Every terrible team is undefeated in the off season. Most fans are casual and that can lead to some pretty ridiculous takes but that’s part of the game.

The only fans I dislike are the ones who kill their neighbors after being repeatedly told not to feed raccoons and Muscovy Ducks.

This fanbase has been ranked amongst the worst by numerous polls & outlets, not just that one. This is literally one of the most toxic & venomous fanbases in the entire WORLD, not just in CFB. Its predominantly a fair weather contingent, whose support hinges entirely on Win/Loss records. Real or True fans ride for their squad regardless of Win/Loss records, and they do that all while having a smile on their face. They don't bytch, whine, & mope, and reluctantly give limited support and then afterwards profess their fandom.

I don't think any objective or unbiased person would ever accuse this fanbase of having a problem with blind homerism. It's literally the least of our problems.

While I agree, the best position to take when it comes to being a fan is to remain even keeled & centered, the bottom-line is blind homers & pumpers are much better fans than dyck sucking mopes who take a wait & see approach to their team. Who do you think is providing the overwhelming & lion's share of financial support to CFB programs? Sunshine pumping homers or dyck sucking mopes whose only contribution to this program is clout chasing on this forum and watching pirated streams?

Whether you are a sunshine pumping homer, or a dyck sucking mope, you are essentially in the same boat, because both positions maintain unrealistic expectations which are not rooted in reality. That's why in the end the most critical aspect about being a fan is to never get too overly emotional, or invested towards a particular outcome.
