The Willie Williams Story

His grades in HS were never a problem. 4 teachers and the Principal stood up for him. He was highly intelligent in regards to academics.
Any truth to the rumors about it being NC State coach who contacted the NCAA about Devins grades? If so, that would explain him looking at their sidelines while returning the Kickoff for a TD.

It was Amato....the same POS who showed recruits photos of Bryan Patas death. That IS the reason why Devin stared down NCSTs sidelines.

I'm not sure what the first 8 minutes or so has to do with WW, but I had forgotten a lot of the craziness of his recruitment.

Willie Williams was easily the most disappointing top level recruit that didn't pan out at the Univ of Miami. I remember his recruitment vividly. Very disappointing considering how talented he was. When you compare him to a guy like Frank Gore who also had adversity tearing his knees in college, one guy made the most of his talent despite adversity in Gore, and the other WW just made too many bad dumb mistakes that cost him a possible NFL career. At least WW turned his life around later being a coach and trainer.

1) Willie
2) Wilbur Marshall
3) Nate Webster.....3 best I've ever seen in person.
For me it was Marvin Jones, Derrick Thomas and Patrick Peterson-

Willie is in that company he was tremendous-

Joey and Nick Bosa are up there as well-I watched a 15 year old Nick Bosa dominate at St.Thomas Aquinas.

I remember going to STA to watch them play Plantation when Joey was a senior and Nick was a freshman. (He was already like 6'3" 240) They played an odd front with Joey, Anthony Moten at NT and Nick. It was just grown men playing against children.

Willie was wayyyy better than Marvin Jones....Derrick Thomas actually only had one Great yr....Peterson was good, but none of them were WW good.

Shannon misused WW terribly. @Brooklyndee will tell you. If WW would have came to UM from 98-2000 Butch would've made him an AA.

Yeah remember that game you’re absolutely right it was ridiculous-Truthfully I don’t know how they lost a game.Miramar used to give them fits back then also Don Bosco out of Jersey beat them twice.

He's doing fantastic....he's a personal trainer and mentor in Dade County.

This. The only time I can remember Shannon using his skills appropriately was against VT, when he was used to spy their QB. Besides that, it always seemed like he was in the doghouse
