The Weak Links

i want to see more of Jojo, Moore and Lofton. Biggest concern is the lateral quickness of our DEs and LBs vs Chambliss and the RB. Need to contain. We can get into our “weaknesses” after the CFP is over. Just go to the transfer portal thread if you want to get a jump start.

Spy that is fast not some lb who is way slower than him

That was another one but they should have never got the ball back in the first half if Dawson used his head . Up 17 to 0 at half …
im not a huge dawson fan but its hard for me to criticize every single play call. watch that third down play again, and i think beck had a wr open to the right that wouldnt have got the first down but would have got us into fg range

He cost us the two L yeah he is the weak link . The play im taking was that lateral pitch to Toney that cost us like 8 yards why In field goal range . Next play eveyone deep instead of trying half to make a field goal . He should have cost us a. 6 point swing in points . The entire world sees our weaknes.

Don’t think a spy will work. He’s too elusive. The whole team just needs to be aware of where he is at all times and contain the ****.
A spy who can actually tackle . If we don’t put one on him on passing downs he’s going to run the entire time for positive yards

Fair. I guess I wasn't trying to focus on the negative. This ride has been amazing and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Buddy asked me today and I thought it was still an interesting question.
Exposing our weaknesses on a public forum probably isn’t helpful although the coaches of our opponents surely will recognize them. After all us Canes have endured these last 20 odd years, I prefer to just focus on the positive and enjoy this incredible ride.

Exposing ? You don’t think everyone is aware of this ? Dawson been called out all year for his lack of aggressiveness in some games . I thought his game plan was good vs Ohio state just didn’t like what he did before half . Lateral bs with Toney that took points off the board and let them get the ball back .

Whatever. It’s been brought to our attention many times that people from other teams read this board. But like I said, it’s probably insignificant as other coaches already know what those weakness are. That being said, I get tired of all the negative bull**** spewed on this sight.

We should pull out the Belichek/Patriots strategy they used in playoffs against Peyton/Wayne/Harrison by physically destroying the WR at the LOS. This throws off the timing, disrupts a QB who gets ball out quicker, allows more time for DL to get home, and place your DBs in a favorable position with no cushion to make a play on the ball for quick passes.

I love this team. I love their fight. I love the players. I love the staff. I love that we aren't the laughingstock of college football anymore and I love knowing that we could be the best team left in the field.

We are going to get a ton of Miami hype noise this week, so let me try to help with that by balancing the scale. I am curious what everyone thinks are our weaknesses.

For me, the answer is:

- Lack of downfield difference-maker at wide receiver.
- Lack of explosive offensive attack
- DL stamina (only because Bain and Mesidor play so much, not because I think they are out of shape)
- No semblance of a threat at tight end

Outside of that, I think we have answered questions about penalties, play-calling (especially in the red zone), etc,
In the portal, we definitely need some WR with catch and run explosiveness. We need more help for Malachi. Gotta spend big in areas that make a difference.

the most glaring weakness is our CB depth. Antoine cannot be playing meaningful minutes against ole miss or oregon/indiana (especially indiana). we been skating by from a blend of weather/mediocre passer vs TAMU and a bum Oline vs OSU. the moment we cant get consistent pressure with 4, our secondary will be tested like none other.

everything else is within our control and manageable

It’s was his thoughts , you don’t like the thread scroll past it . You got it right they’re already know . ESPN has called him out several times for it. Not some hidden secret we’re trying to keep from the other team. I can go through ole miss weakness too . Every team has weaknesses

That’s why we have to be strong at what we excel at . Getting pressure on the qb is a must

I don’t need advice on what to read or not to read. You’re more than welcome to scroll past my posts as well.

I’ll leave the insight to the professionals not a bunch of keyboard warriors that don’t know their *** from a hole in the ground.
