I love this team. I love their fight. I love the players. I love the staff. I love that we aren't the laughingstock of college football anymore and I love knowing that we could be the best team left in the field.

We are going to get a ton of Miami hype noise this week, so let me try to help with that by balancing the scale. I am curious what everyone thinks are our weaknesses.

For me, the answer is:

- Lack of downfield difference-maker at wide receiver.
- Lack of explosive offensive attack
- DL stamina (only because Bain and Mesidor play so much, not because I think they are out of shape)
- No semblance of a threat at tight end

Outside of that, I think we have answered questions about penalties, play-calling (especially in the red zone), etc,

I think every single position group on our team has exceeded expectations with the exception of tight end. Every team is “missing” something. If we’re nitpicking here, OSU is “missing” a shifty slot and an entire offensive line

Yeah, we suck.

I’d like to see more downfield shots but the problem is it’s low % and it gets us behind the sticks. Now Carson Vick scrambling to pick up 1st downs helps a bunch. It’s on film and Ole Miss has to respect it. That said I expect us to come out with a similar game plan. Move the sticks, eat up time, and keep them off the field.

Weakness is Dawson . He’s dumb as fck . He took points off the board vs Ohio state in the first half and gave them a chance to get a field goal . His lateral bs that took us out of field goal range

to me the biggest coaching mistake was calling that timeout after ohio st’s first play.

we only had 2 timeouts, so the risk wasnt worth the reward. they were still going to be able to kill a ton of clock if they wanted and you saw how the downside could have played out. we got lucky they missed the fg

if you have three timeouts, then im fine with it

as to this thread. we could definitely benefit from more of a threat from the tight end position. the playaction threat alone would help boost our running game even more.

i think our depth at defensive end has developed over the season and not a weakness at this point. id take our dline depth over anyone else.

have we had any long td plays where we actually got behind the whole defense for a long score? 50+ yard td? id be interested to see the stats on that and where we’d rank. i dont know if thats a weakness per say, or just our preferred strategy with risk v reward

That was another one but they should have never got the ball back in the first half if Dawson used his head . Up 17 to 0 at half …
