The VT and Notre Dame games in 2017

I remember reading the day before the Pitt game that Richt was throwing the team a big Thanksgiving night spread and celebration. It made me sick as I knew how the team would play after that. I posted here that day that I knew we were losing to Pitt. You can't go into a game against a physical Pitt team with nothing to lose (it was the end of their season) and the Miami players feeling themselves and looking to Clemson. Nice guy Richt f#cked himself and that was the end of that.

Still remember being at the game and Ed reed was on the big screen after the JJ int and the place just erupted. Chillw

Anyone else ever go back and watch the highlights from those two weeks? Richt had us looking ******* electric man. And look at the talent all over the field, it's just night and day

I just don't know how we couldn't capitalize on the momentum that we had. A **** shame as to what could have been

**** I didn't know that. No wonder the whole team looked like it was running in quicksand.

What a time to be alive. That defense was really good. I wish we had a DB tandem like that again. Muddy Badger and Mike Jack.

I also have to watch those highlights every once in a while to remember how reliable Berrios was. They also look really fast in those 2 games on both sides of the ball. They haven't really looked like that since.

That 2017 team got the best out of Mark Richt anyone had in years.

The lack of depth definitely caught up to us those last few games; we had some brutal injuries with nothing behind them, e.g. Herdon to Irvin, etc.

Afterwards, we disintegrated offensively and had nowhere to go at QB. I don't know which caused what, but so many cool concepts just evaporated.

We didn't capitalize recruiting either, and our performance in 2018 ended it all. We were lazy.

Went from McCloud/Quarterman/Pinckney to Jennings/Flagg/Steed

Johnson and Redwine to Hall and Bolden

The drop off is unreal

Could smell it completely coming at LB, the recruiting there was highly questionable.

Safety surprises me honestly. Johnson and Redwine were high football IQ guys and prepared themselves very well. Ton of respect, but I think we've recruited well at safety, or it seemed that way.

Fools gold but God **** that was a fun season. I was at the game against the Domers and went to Game Day. ******* electric.
I was at game and gameday as well...came out on TV a few times and had posters shown as well...game was so electric... felt like being in the OB...remember how loud it was...even Herbie and fowler were raving about how loud it was when I saw my recording of game.

That team is so foreign to me now. It was only 4 years ago but light years better than the dog **** that I've watched this year
