They might be forced to if the ACC decides enough is enough. No money coming in then. Shalala did a number on those Tobacco Road clowns to get us into this conference by promising we'd massively improve their strength in football.

This is the reason why so many local south Florida and Florida kids don’t commit to Miami. This school is a joke to them, our fb program has failed at making local kids feel Ike they’re a part of this school.

thats not the case at schools like Ohio State Alabama etc.... their local kids rep that school before knowing they are even going to be offered to play for them.

The obvious is winning.

The second, and almost as obvious is a change in philosophy on O.
Running some form of the spread will generate instant interest in the spring/summer.
Of course we have to follow that up with the obvious in the fall.

Establish more of a presence in the community.
Richt was good at getting our players to the local middle/Jr high schools.
Manny and the next coach have to amp that up.

Get some coaches on staff that can relate to the parents/households these kids are from.

Its just a general statement...like, they kids won't glad hand you just because Miami is your favorite team or you are an alum.

"What do you think of Miami?"
"They're trash."

Pretty much how the conversation goes. From Pop Warner through High School.

I get it. The thing to understand is that Alabama has been the 800 pound gorilla for most of their memory with Clemson right behind. Half of those kids hearing about how great Miami once was would think it was ancient history.

Facts and I don’t want any kids on this team that think it’s cool to put on gimmicky TD rings and dancing on the sidelines winning or losing.
