The UNC game is going to be tougher than they appeared pre-season

I didn’t see anything from their offense that was disconcerting.

True Freshman QB who has some potential, but he was definitely putting the ball in harm’s way. Should’ve had an INT late in the game, but the ball went through the DB’s hands.

RBs are okay and Newsome is decent at receiver, but no gamebreakers that are going to go off for 200 yards or something. They don’t have any skill position talent that we didn’t see against Florida.

The one concern is what Bateman has done with the defense. Brantley looked completely confused as a senior, and UNC’s DL mostly controlled the LOS.

After what we saw against Florida, I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if our OL struggled again, particularly in another night road game.

We need to be able to run the ball so Jarren doesn’t have to throw against a lot of exotic looks.

That said, UNC’s back 7 talent isn’t impressive. They had a converted QB playing LB, and he missed a run fit that led to a long TD run.

If we take care of business, we should win by 2 TDs.
Exactly!! Our front 7 eyes must be discipline and we’ll be fine. UNC don’t have the athlete to play man. I’m expecting alot of zone coverage. Like you said, we must establish the run and quick passing.

From what I saw in the game UNC love the fade pass stop that and we’ll be ok . Out of the two they threw for TD one was good throw the other was a lucky catch

If Miami doesn’t win by 14 or more... not only will it be a travesty, but It will also be very telling of what type of season we will have. UNC played well against USC indeed, but I just don’t see them having that much success against us like that. My prediction... Miami 34 - UNC 13.

I agree but we all know deep down this is going to be a close game because for ~reasons~ we always struggle against them. I'm thinking 27-20 us at the moment right now

South Cacky had some of the worst defensive Pre-snap alignments I’ve seen in awhile. They are terribly coached. Simply gave UNC rushing lanes all day. It was comical. Howell will be dealing with a monster when he plays us.

Legit = UNC’s QB had some fade throws that were impressive. They will take their shots versus man-to-man coverage. His WRs caught tuff passes. And they rushed for almost 200(?) yards. They played hard on defense. Their defense played hard against us last year as well. But, SC is slow AF AND THEY don’t have our personnel. 21 at MLB gives UNC a very fast MLB. Kid can run. Just can’t wrap up correctly. Still learning. Also, gives them a QB mind in the middle of their defense. In addition to a potential liability.

One particular 90+ yard drive, they basically asked the Frosh to make about two throws (1 TD throw with a bobbling one hand grab) - and ran the ball the rest of the drive. Which led to their outside matchups.

He shouldn’t get too many easy Pre-snap looks with us - and when he does, I like our matchups.

The turnovers are coming.

An ACC road win by any score is good with me right about now. Obviously we all want to see major improvements (fixes) since our game with Gainesville Community College.

"We took the game. They didn’t give it to us."

this part, we curb stomped these dudes last year, have some confidence

Our O line is definitely a concern, especially the tackles. Just to keep this in perspective though, Zuniga and Greenard are better ends than we're likely to see the rest of the season.

Let's also not forget that every HOF lineman had a first game.

Usce o-line isnt significantly better. They had a guard starting at LT who had never played tackle.

And once again. The tackles had struggles in their first start vs 2 guys who will be in the nfl and one of them being projected to go first round.
You are being a little to kind to use the word struggles when describing the tackle play.

I saw a lot of creative blitzes that created pressure every time USCe dropped back to pass the ball. And on third down especially they have some incredibly fast ends that were blowing past the tackles.

This is going to be a dog fight.

Lol at the fans who act like we’re some juggernaut who regularly rolls teams. I love my canes as much as anyone but lets just pump the breaks for a second. We lost to a mediocre Florida team just a week ago.
