I must say, last night our Canes DEFENSE showed up!! PPL will say what they want and everybody is entitled to their own opinion BUT I saw a team last night that was lead by the play of their DEFENSE.. This Duke team is no push over, they have a very solid defense as well and they showed it at times last night, BUT our OFFENSE made some big plays and got it done.. The storyline for me was a banged up Walton, I believe IF he wouldn't been 100% that would've made it easier on Rosier BUT Duke's staff came prepared on D!!
Miami is a team that is still learning each other and finding their way.. PPL might not see the things the same way as me BUT I really like what I see.. On OFFENSE, Miami is not great but Rosier has proven that he can make it happen.. I think the best part of this OFFENSE is yet to come and CMR comes in each game with a game plan and it works (It's not always the pretties or most exciting BUT it works), I have to give CMR and staff much credit because they make very good adjustments after halftime and it always seems like this team gels better in the 2nd half!! Now as for the DEFENSE, Miami displayed straight dominance last night.. And on DEFENSE, our secondary look solid with the DLine causing havoc.. This DEFENSE is far from it's max BUT last night they showed that they are starting to get in their groove!! PPL was questioning things after UM's first two games, BUT I said that the DEFENSE was just winging it in those games and last night they performed like everyone has been expecting them too since game 1.. Joe Jackson was a force!! M. Young hold his own on the outside against Duke top WR..
This Miami team has a lot of run for improvement NO DOUBT, BUT don't sleep on my Canes!! This is CFB, every team will go thru it's ups and downs during a game, BUT it's all about "what's on that scoreboard when the clock shows 0:00 left in the game"!! Week to week, one game at a time and this Canes team will get better..
