Over the last several years, I have noticed how so many of our kids commit early to a class and then their stock starts to improve. Then within a month of signing their committment they are not happy with the process, they want an outside experience, or FSU/UF/Alabama creep up and take our studs!

I know many want to feel optimistic about the 2016 recruting class, but is their someone guiding these athletes to committ to The U and then break our hearts in the last minute? I know it sounds like I am paranoid or like this is a conspiracy, but with so much drama over the last 3 years, it makes me wonder!

Have a great weekend!

In recuiting its a lot of things that lead to kids decommitting\ committing

Kids commit to the local school because thats the only school they saw at the time and then visits other schools and see that they like that situation better, some kids commit to sure up a spot, others get dropped or get slow played, some dont like the product on the field, coaching firings/moving on

Every kids recruitment is different, not every kid is the same in what they want (early playing time, close to home, money, play for winners, leave home, gameday experience) nothing is final until ink hits paper

I think there is a lot of truth in the OP's post. Of course a lot of the problem would be solved if the program just started winning again.

Alot of recruiting Websites don't usually evaluate a player until they're on someones radar by either committing or going to camps

Great observation, nice and intelligent post which stands out on this board.

This has been going on for years, committing to Miami is a way to get noticed.... sad but true, they should wait to offer some of these guys. Amir is the perfect recent example, kid commits and two days later he's getting noticed by other schools then says he's a soft commit. But as so many others have stated "winning cures all".

But if you wait then they get offended.

Like T. McFadden for example.

Hmmm alot of our commits have offers from all over the country and are ranked in the top 150 players in the country

you can't change these young'ns mindset.

this is the new age of kids with attention deficit disorders and the need to be satisfied within seconds.

back in the day, people were able to tell intricate stories. now, they just tweet/facebook/vine and if they think 6 seconds is too long, they snap pics to each other.

commitment has no value. it is what it is. it's very rare to find young men who has the drive and the patience to go with their talents.

Some of these recruits will turn into 5* ballas as soon as they hit the camp circuit and/or other teams show interest.

Rest we never get that many 5* and those we've gotten never pan out to that top billing as in the past 12 years, except one.
