BTW, Indoor practice facility price tag is 20 million, also it's planned to go right on top of the new turf we just installed....so basically, not anytime soon.
Where did you get that number from?

let's be honest here.
this is a chicken or egg problem.
Administration isn't spending money because our football program in the recent years haven't proved to be profitable.
recently, they shared some of their massive donations to the football program that essentially built the entire school.
now, we are lagging in facilities, but we DO have the players and SHOULD have a pretty productive season this year and put asses on seats.
If the team fails THIS YEAR, it's not because of facilities. It's because of coaches and/or players.
Would an indoor practice facility be nice? Sure. Is it the sole reason Miami is consistently losing? No. Is it even in the top 20? No. Why are you guys getting distracted by something so inconsequential when the reason Miami's football program is a joke is staring you right in the stomach?
dont understand people complaining about getting improvements for our football team. should have alot of these said upgrades happened years ago, sure. But they didnt and we are now finally getting them. whats the old saying.... "better late than never..." smh
Yo, they are madder than a **** because someone said they appreciate the upgrades. Rustled to the max.

Never knew reading was such a hard thing to do until I started posting on message boards.
The OP did not say only he appreciates the upgrades. Oh no, the OP can't make things that simple and human. Instead the OP told you that these upgrades were great, that he likes them, and that because he likes them you better agree or you are stupid and not a canes fan.
Perhaps these nuances is not as noticeable to some people. It is the only reason I opined in this thread. It is one of the douchiest and most condescending things I have ever read.

Person A says administration is not committed to the football program.
Administration makes commitment by upgrades, OP is excited about them.
OP says "Anyone who criticizes them with regards to their commitment to UM Football needs to deactivate their CaneCard"
Where is the part that says you are stupid if you dont agree?
It's a little soft shouldered to get so hurt over something as simple as "deactivating" a cane card.
You are reading too much into it.
"Shalala is committed to winning."
Awesome. That's really great. Miami has lost five or more games six out of the last eight years. So she's committed to winning, and for that reason we'll forgive the fact that she clearly has no idea how to actually do it? Sorry, not this guy. At some point she needs to stop getting a free pass because she's trying and start owning up to the fact that she has been failing.
It's like if you had a child who had a really serious disease. There was a chance he could be cured if you went to the right doctors, let them do the right tests, let them perform the correct surgeries etc. But instead the people who said "As parents, we're committed to making sure little Jimmy beats this disease!" decided that they weren't going to do any of that and were only going to pray for Jeebus to magically cure him. Or were only going to use herbal and homeopathic remedies to beat cancer or whatever he has. What good is being committed if after you declare your commitment you keep making the wrong decisions? Why should that impress anyone?
I think some of that money may have been spent on people.
Look who we hired in this last year alone, Tim Harris, and the other local coach (his name escapes me.) This has been without attrition of other staff members. Also, have 4 GAs which is more then the 2 of before. The recent addition to the S&C to help Swasey. So they're is improvement on that field.
These hires have been pretty evident in our recent success in the South Florida recruiting.
I'm sure we'd all like to see budget's the size of Alabama or Texas, but realistically you don't NEED it to win, mind you it sure helps. So I think there is marked improvement in that area. As Al would say, we're trending up!
Looks like the U is about to make another killing in land sales here in Sarasota county selling another piece of protected land, this was on the news last night
