They all cheated their a$$es off except Schnelly maybe....he went into the ghetto when other coaches were afraid too. We will never get back to those levels. It is not a shock that when Miami won in 2001, the best PED supplier was across the street from campus.

Its a different time. FSU will literally make 70% of thei squad "learning disabled" just to get them qualified. Miami will never do that. They pride themselves on academics and a higher standard first.

That is why they hired boring coaches Randy Shannon, Al Golden and Mark Richt. They were safe hires that wouldnt cheat, wouldnt go back to the old school image. This is our reality.

Can Miami start to win 9-10 games a year? Absolutely. Could they make some playoff runs? Absolutely. Will they ever be dominant like the old days? Not in my opinion.

I will respectively disagree.
 
I’m in the camp of being aggressive enough to compete for national championships at least every five years, but not so aggressive that you compete once, then get caught, get the death penalty, and then are unable to compete for thirty years (like SMU).

If Miami has received what the NCAA had originally planned for them in 2012 (4 year bowl ban, 2 year television ban, loss of 15 scholarships per year for 4 years, ineligibility for bowl and tv revenue), how long would it be before we even got back to our current state?
