The truth on late 90,s sanctions

I am always appreciative of what Butch was able to accomplish here when the program was at probably it's lowest point. He wasn't perfect but some knew that man was trying to bring the program back to life. It was his goal to win and compete for National Championships. What is Richt goal? I doubt Richt would've accomplished half of what Butch did if he was thrown into that situation.

Lighten up dude, this post flew right over your head. The point is you can cherry pick anything to make a point and that was an example. Neither one of those true facts paint a complete picture.

A complete picture??....You can't comprehend what Butch dealt with.
Imagine giving Sanctions like those to Richt at UG or UM??...You honestly gonna sit there and tell me he would of done better??....FOH with that BS....
 
Losing 11 and 13 ships in 2 years is devastating. If the NCAA did that to Alabama. Saban would retire the next day. Add the negative national and state media. Butch wasn't perfect but he is the best talent evaluator and developer.....Ever.

The problem dawning on us now it seems like that “program changing” moment vs notre dame looks more and more like Golden’s win vs UF or Randy’s vs FSU. An illusion.

Always demand competence and always appreciate what Butch Davis and HIS recruits gave to this program.

I realize you’re President and CEO of the cult of Butch, but if you’d stop hyperventilating every time you think someone is being critical of him you’d realize I in no way said Richt would or wouldn’t have done better.

And for the record I can comprehend what it was like. I’m a 20+ year season ticket holder and have been going to games for 35 years, including the years Butch’s teams were getting curbstomped.

You're definitely one of if the dumbest posters on this site. What happened the next week after the Cuse game? We didn't lose. We beat the #2 ranked team in the country you ***. UVa and BC back to back and the way we lost, just lifeless. The players better take ownership because laid-back coaching gets you laid-back performance and that doesn't work in football.

You became a Canes fan in 2002, didn't you? That would make perfect sense.

Playing devil's advocate here. One could say that is actually a good thing. Maybe that's why Richt is coach and Butch isn't? Wish Butch never left...
