Pinkney easily should have been on the list, or even Garvin since they are predicting and not solely basing it on past performance.

Compelling. I almost changed my mind.

I’m fine if you disagree. Shaq is an emotional leader and a fan favorite. Pink diagnoses the play and finds the ball on an elite level. He’s almost never out of position and rarely takes a bad angle. Shaq is fantastic, but after watching both for 3 years I’m taking Pink first.

Every time I see Shaq listed above Pink I realize that no one actual watches college football and name recognition is all that matters.
Shaq was a more productive/consistent player last year imo but both are definitely 2 of the best playmaking linebackers in the country

Shaq
85 tackles 14.5 tfls 6 sacks int

pinckney
73 tackles 11 tfls 3 sacks int

I’m not , pinckney got things he has to clean up, one is the consistency with his tackling

That’s fine but to say that anyone that puts Shaq above Pink doesn’t watch college football and is going off name recognition is funny. If anything Pink can be considered the emotional leader.

I’m critical of Shaq at times, but I can’t get behind this post.

Pink makes splash plays. Shaq is the general of the defense.

My criticism of Shaq is mainly that I think he is too slow sideline to sideline against modern offenses. But as far as a traditional MLB goes, give me Shaq all day.

But it’s nitpicking. Phil Steele has canes as his No 2 LB unit in the country. If we stay healthy that is a plus unit for us.

Thats tough brother. I would agree Pinkney is probably the more skilled player but Shaq is the brains behind the operation. Very different players. We are lucky to have both. Coin toss for me.
