People have to understand you never really know what you have as a team until you play another team. Remember when people were gushing about our secondary? Well, it’s not like they decided to suck all of a sudden. Truth is when they practiced against Tyler Stare-down Dyke and our inept receivers our secondary looked great. How about when people were gushing about our offensive line? Well, Steele’s defense isn’t as blitz aggressive as MTSU, he relies on a front 4 that is more built to stop the run vs put pressure on a QB. So the oline looks solid in pass pro until we face an aggressive defense. Then they can’t handle those blitzes because they don’t see them. Or if a blitz happens it is by Corey Stone-shoes Flagg. Who has a 5% success rate at actually getting to the QB.

My point is buying into hype is really a con-mans game. People trying to sell stuff and drum up interest in doing so. But reality is we just don’t know what we have until we face other teams.
