I've been keeping a positive attitude and supporting this team we all love. However, one thing I don't understand is why we aren't giving opportunities to extremely talented players? I can deal with Trayone Gray & the younger guys not getting significant time during garbage time, but for some reason they haven't used Herb Waters as much as I would like them to. He is an incredible talent just has not gotten the reps in. He tore it up in the little time he got against Louisville. Also, the Regula fumble was a stupid error by the walk-on. I can't hold it against Coley since it was a wide open run play it just should've gone to Duke, Gus (who also deserved more carries) or even Yearby who hits the hole with extreme quickness and doesn't shy away from contact for as little of a guy as he is.

Appreciate any insightful thoughts.

I was thinking the same thing during the game. We appear to be using Dorsett and Duke and that's it. Used Coley a lot in the first game as well. If we used all the weapons we had on offense, they couldn't cover everyone. Instead we focus on 1 or 2 guys as if we don't have anyone else.

I agree 110%. Quarterbacks need to build chemistry with their WR's, but eventually the defense finds a pattern and you need to find plan B. Which is why I was extremely happy when Kaaya hit Braxton on the long pass and then rewarded him with the TD on the end zone. He needs to build that relationship with the other guys as well, not just Dorsett and Walford. Not to take anything away from Kaaya he was amazing, it's just something I feel he can build on and hope he will. Malcolm has also been invisible, he was Olsen's favorite receiver prior to suspension.

We have a legit 5 in Coley, Dorsett, Lewis, Waters and Berrios for Kaaya.

Need to spread it to them as much as possible. And get Duke and the Yearbs on field together.

We have the talent man. I've been saying it too.

Kaaya looks promising and continues to improve.

I'm gonna say something controversial I think trayone is the second best back on our team

Controversial yes, but you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that. I would say we haven't seen enough of Gray to make that statement. He has a great all around balanced attack for a rusher. However, sometimes these backs get diagnosed with fumblitis or other things so I don't mind them bringing him along. Hard to imagine he remains a back when Scarlett, Dex, and Walton arrive. There's no denying he's an electrifying athlete so luckily for us he excelled at multiple positions in high school.

btw, to me owens and grace are gonna be really good.

Yearby is a stud. Read one of the "experts" on this forum say earlier that he was not impressed at all with Yearby...idiot. Anyway as far as the Grace and Owens assessment I would say Grace is already making strides even though he sometimes gets a little too anxious at the point of attack. Nothing bad to say about those two. I want to see Juwon Young get out there as well.

I can't say enough about Courtel Jenkins, i was honestly expecting him to be another earl moore.

No way was he ever going to be Earl Moore. You could see in his HS film. He was one of my favorite recruits in 2014. Kid screamed dominating NT. What has surprised me about CJ is the fact that he has caught on so quickly. I mean right out of the gate. That I never saw coming. He and Big Hert have teamed up to fill that gaping hole in our interior DL. I know it's early but our run defense looks much better.
