Thats def my feeling. Fear of the unknown. 24 yrs in between appearances and this new format makes it so much harder to get there. Back in the day #1 and #2 play, 1 game and youre a champ. Today you have to finish top 10 and then beat 3 or 4 top 10 teams along the way. Felt like this was a perfect opportunity to grab one...hoping Moten returns, grab wilson and mensah in the portal and hope some guys take a next step but there's no guarantee we get this chance again...crushing feeling

Yes and no. With the old format even with the four-teams-playoff we wouldn’t even had the chance to achieve this playoff run regarding that had already lost twice in the season.

Our orange and green will need to put this behind them and get to work on building the blocks of success and resiliency for the 2026 Campaign. They put together a great year relative to what hasn't happened for Miami football in over 2 decades.

Good on them!

One thing I believe is true is we are a consistent top 10 playoff team moving forward. We just have to hope we get there again and finish the last game.
 
If people believe this was a lightning in a bottle scenario..then you also basically saying Mario isn’t the guy because we should be in the national title discussion every year with the foundation he is building. Will it be next year? Who knows. But we will be in the CFP every year during his tenure I’ll bet. Which means we will always have a chance.

This. Why the doom and gloom? Another 20 years? Where’s Mario going? Where’s all that talent besides seniors going? I don’t get it. Sure it’s hurts, it’s supposed to. Our boys just played in the natty, after an incredible run none of us expected. But this fsPoo level of self-pity and negativity is pathetic. Who we should be hurting for is the kids that played their hearts out, and lost. Might sound like I’m pumping sunshine up your @$$es, but let’s wake up from this self indulgence and get behind this program and look forward to many more competitive seasons. Hats off to Indiana fans who never got to see their team to this level of success. GO CANES!!!

I agree there's now a better chance to make the dance but much much harder to win it all because you arent needing 1 win anymore. You're gna have to beat 3 or 4 really good schools. Nonetheless this year felt like the year to do it. Hope we can finally get that 6th natty soon
