Read it and think about it a moment before you blow your O-Ring.
1. Hire Butch Davis @ $2.5 million - for the first two years. More after that.
2. Tell him he has $1.5 million to hire a top OC.
3. Tell him he has $1.5 million to hire a top DC.
4. Tell him he has $500K to hire a top DLine Coach.
5. Tell him he had $500K to hire a top OLine Coach.
6. And some hefty position coach dollars.
You just:
Got one of the top talent evaluators and enthusiastic recruiters in the nation.
Got some top Coordinators.
Got some top Line Coaches.
Got some top position coaches.
And it's not much more than what we're putting out there already.
Do it this way, and each coach will earn the University way more than they cost - just like a good sales rep - they make all their salary and a lot more for the company.
Saban does not cost the University of Alabama one red cent. He generates money.
To be a University - these administrators are truly financial dumbasses.
