Yet no one is panicking.
Sorry but if people don’t see what is happening in Miami they are blind as ****.
Recruits dropping like flies. Offense is horrendous.
Can’t develop 5 QBs. Star WRs leaving the team.
2 years in a new coach takes Richt’s old players to the championship game.

But hey, we have a killer defense. Until Diaz gets what he deserves and takes a job somewhere else.

But there is nothing to see here because we have well behaved kids, who are actually graduating.

The U is a mess, yet we get to play cheese town in and butt wipe bowl.
Great things happening.

Was hoping for the best when we hired him, but I'm not surprised. He made changes from Golden, but they were only subtle enough to make use slightly better.

Why am I not surprised? When Richt got fired, he mentioned he was happy to be retired. Then Miami had to basically throw the house at him (money, autonomous control, etc.) to get him to the sidelines.

Doesn't exactly sound like he had that fire or desire to coach. If you don't have that after you got canned and your alumni gives you the keys to the program, you shouldn't be at helm. Period.

Can't blame him. I would take that amount of money in a heartbeat and "try my best."

Yawn. Hope at least the OP feels better for getting that out.

Does anyone have a theory on the proliferation of these posts? Do people revel in despair? Does saying "this sucks" over and over again make one feel better about their own life? Is it a "selfie"-type thing? "Look at me, I think it's even worse than you think it is"?

Either we will get an OC, or we won't. We will finish strong in recruiting, or we won't. And *****ing about it on the board won't change that at all. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. In the interim, find a hobby.

In reality I was guilty of thinking

“Dam the coastal is so bad even richt can run through it”

Me too. Of course this place is full of heros who knew better, but there was good reason to think 9 wins was Richt's floor in the Coastal

Richt couldn't get to 9 wins his first year in the regular season with the most talented team in the division. This isn't a surprise.

Talented sure but please, that team was a mess. Kaaya was great if you kept the pressure off him which we were very bad at doing. The D was much better than any year under al, but still had problems. It's understandable that we won 9 that year. Not great, but understandable.

As for the most talented team in the division no sht, that's true every year. Even if Richt were a play-calling wizard, we'd have lost 2 games this year because of our OL, ST, and QB. It's not enough to have the most talent, you've got to have that talent everywhere. And we don't.
