There is also a former cane who's son got shafted last recruiting cycle who's steering SFL kids away mainly to UF. but hey it is what it is.....Its hard to recruit inner city kids especially when yo 7on7 coach thinks golden is a joke

I've had numerous kids work with Sly and never heard nothing about him steering kids away from Miami.

Why can't any of the slurpers just admit that Folden sucks, is dead man going through the motions and everyone knows it?

Every time a premier talent from our own backyard doesn't end up here, people throw out accusations about $EC bagmen, South Florida recruits being divas, our program being handcuffed because we're on probation, etc.

UF made a coaching change when it was clear Muschamp wasn't the man for the job there. McElwain can legitimately sell optimism and a new vision. UM decided to maintain the status quo after our third losing season in the past 35 years. There's absolutely nothing Golden can sell to these kids anymore. He's finished and everyone knows it, even the administration that's keeping him here because they don't give a single f*** about our football program or anyone that loves it.

Our current situation has been caused by Al Golden. Period. Not some influential figure in the community who might have an axe to grind. His influence wouldn't mean a dam thing if we were rolling right now.

Good response, but that doesn't mean I'm inaccurate. I think you're taking my post the wrong way. All I'm saying is, this handler business is real.

Its extremely real, and poison for UM.

Bottom line, most of these responses of from posters who don't really know the underbelly of recruiting and believe it is a cop out to claim a kid takes $$$$ or is used by a hustler, OR which is more the case today, so full of angst for Golden (hard to blame there) that they refuse to listen to any other reason for losing recruits, regardless of reality.

Also reality though...coaches like Butch know how to better deal with garbage like that, Golden is a deer in the headlights that has no chance to stop it or turn it in his favor.

Thanx OP for trying to make us feel better

Bruh! Seriously? You pull these out all the time with your Bleak Visions. I'm sure there is one coming out tomorrow after the mess is over and to crush our hopes for the 2016 class. C'mon man don't act like you haven't doe this to us too.

The sad part is that a lot of us on here know how to handle it better than he does. You want these kids? Then build relationships with the people in their lives that have an impact on them. Stop trying to be Mr. Goody Good "I am too good for the streets mentality" guy who doesn't play the game.

People on here are claiming we lost Scarlett because his girl friend wants to go to UF. IF, and I mean IF, that is true, then we lost Scarlett because Golden failed to recognize that the kid wanted to go to school with her. He could have easily pulled some strings to get her in here. UF isn't that easy to get into so she has to have done something right. Selling on her on better academics here would have been one more person, REAL close to the kid, telling him to stay.

Need more? Okay, like someone mentioned earlier, offer Quincy Wilson! A lot of people fail to remember that his drama caused problems with Cook and Lane too because they were all tight. I'm not saying the three of them would have been here, but Quicny most likely would have come, and maybe the other two would have given us more of a chance, and his dad wouldn't be trying to bring us down every chance he got. Scarlett would probably also be here because of that. It certainly didn't help our case, and still doesn't, that Quincy dogs UM to all of his friends who are being recruited by us.

This clown has ZERO big picture perspective. He has ZERO street cred. Guy can't sell ice to a guy walking in the Miami summer heat, let alone ice to an eskimo. Simple as that. Play the game, or be played. That's what is happening. People are getting a kick out of playing this clown show.

Maybe they are tired of No D showing up with his bull****. BTW last time I check Stacey Coley is from Broward. Who trusted the staph to make him great. Yeah. Golden sucks, that's all other schools need to say. No rebuttals

how? he's going to offer her a scholly in cheerleading? have you noticed that UM is a little more expensive the UF? what if she did not want to come here at all? do we want to pander to recruits' girlfriends. where are the adults on here? you guys act/write like this is a video game. think things through first.

say hi to elsa

Yankees running the program into the ground at UM.

Zero savvy when it comes to these communities from the south.
