The Silent Killer in Broward County

If you've been paying close attention to Broward County recruiting over the past 5 or so years, you'll notice a trend among the elite skill players. They are very hard to keep home and it isn't ONLY because Miami has been irrelevant on the national scene. There is a person who farms a lot of these kids and has earned a great deal of their trust, a handler if you will. There isn't a doubt in my mind that he steers kids away from Miami and these kids listen to him. Who is this person? Look no further than Premier Athletes own, Sly Johnson. Coming out of Miramar High, I think he definitely has a grudge against Miami as they did not offer him.

I'm here to tell you that Butch Davis could be the coach at Miami tomorrow, those kids wouldn't come to Miami. At this point, he's created somewhat of a monopoly whereas he would **** near have to be on Miami's payroll during recruiting cycles if we want the best Broward skill players to come.

This may sound like I'm exaggerating, but it's real. Just think about all the best SKILL guys we've lost over the last 3-5 years from Broward, and I can guarantee you there's an 80% chance that kid is a Premiere Athletes alumni. By the way, so was Scarlett.

Every time a premier talent from our own backyard doesn't end up here, people throw out accusations about $EC bagmen, South Florida recruits being divas, our program being handcuffed because we're on probation, etc.

UF made a coaching change when it was clear Muschamp wasn't the man for the job there. McElwain can legitimately sell optimism and a new vision. UM decided to maintain the status quo after our third losing season in the past 35 years. There's absolutely nothing Golden can sell to these kids anymore. He's finished and everyone knows it, even the administration that's keeping him here because they don't give a single f*** about our football program or anyone that loves it.

Our current situation has been caused by Al Golden. Period. Not some influential figure in the community who might have an axe to grind. His influence wouldn't mean a dam thing if we were rolling right now.
 
UF cares about winning and their actions speak of that. We claim we care about winning but our actions speak against that.

There is also a former cane who's son got shafted last recruiting cycle who's steering SFL kids away mainly to UF. but hey it is what it is.....Its hard to recruit inner city kids especially when yo 7on7 coach thinks golden is a joke

Good response, but that doesn't mean I'm inaccurate. I think you're taking my post the wrong way. All I'm saying is, this handler business is real.

Yep. Let's offer Rays kid who is a D2 player cause it would be swell to have Ray around the program but ignore the kid who can actually play and who's dad has some sway over players down here. Goldens a total **** up.

Not debating that at all.....Golden is not hip to the streets or doesn't want to play by the street rules.....its cool to have baez,Ice, and KB on the staff but when they're just assistants with little sway it makes no difference. In a perfect world Randy woulda came back to be our DC

Simple as that..nobody gives a F*CK bout a Sly Johnson....

But last year you offer Quincy Wilson, and you likely land the U SCHOOL kids....

This year u suck,, uf sucks, but got a new coach, so you can head up there an be the man along with your boy Q Wilson.....

Other than Kevin Beard there is no connection with Scarlett in this program.

Bag man or not we are not landing kids because we have terrible coaches and can't win a ****** division.
 
Of course there are bagmen and money out there. But for me that isn't an excuse. Anyone can play that game. ****, Miami should be doing it better than anyone.

But money or no, sh*ting the bed on the field is our problem. Not bagmen.
