The 6-win criteria made sense when teams played 11 games because it meant a winning record. That was also when every team didn’t get bowl invites.

7 wins should be the minimum, now. With 6-win teams being a rare exception.

Players like JW who are going through the motions make me think teams who are 6-6 have no business being in a bowl game. Also players now are sitting out meaningless bowl games.
