In the early 2010s or so, the men’s basketball coach at my old high school told us all that Lamar Thomas was also one of the best high school basketball players he ever saw in the state of Florida. By that point this was a coach that had witnessed/coached against almost 30 years of all classes of basketball in the state of Florida.

I met him while i was in law school form 93-96 at Emory when he was dating a classmate. Very nice and humble guy. I think he was on the Falcons practice squad at the time
