Don't post much on here, put thought I'd put my 2 cents out there. Was fun to be in Doak to watch us whoop some FSU *** and hear all my FSU friends cry about Taggart, but other than that this season didn't mean much after GT. Turned my eyes to next year (probably to get disappointed again). Although Manny didn't deserve it I cut him some slack going into the year. Having such a young team with little proven talent on offense and a new OC, him being a first time head coach, and coming off a bad year the prior season are primarily the reasons why. I do want to say that I loved Manny as our DC, and I haven't completely given up on his as our HC, but after FIU its put up or shut up time next year. this record.... with this schedule is unacceptable. Gotta get some things right and make some changes or else Cya Manny maybe temple will take you back as a DC if you're lucky.
There are a few problems to getting back that I think can be fixed by next year.
1) What I wanna see is Manny fire Enos and go spread finally. Will it happen is a whole other thing. Manny might try to rationale all the reasons why I cut him slack as reasons to not let Enos go, but Its gotta be done. Go back to defense primarily and let an offense genius run the show with Manny running defense. Let Baker learn a little bit more under him, cause I don't think he is terrible, but I don't think he is ready for this level of college football. This defense has a chance to be special next year, please don't ruin it with another subpar offense.
2) This whole inconsistency thing can get solved in the offseason IMO, day in and day out work and instilling the right attitude into these players of F*ck the other team we're more talented and we work harder and we're gunna wipe the floor with you because of it has to be a thing. There is no nastiness on this team right now, no one who wants to take the game over (besides Rousseau of late) and dominate. The attitude on the team is kind of embarrassing dancing on the sidelines down 13-0 to FIU where the OB use to be was tough to see. that was some taggart FSU type sh*t. get that out.
There are a few other small things ex, playing back ups and etc, but these are the big ones IMO. Maybe Manny is the right guy maybe he isn't, but one thing is for sure, changes need to be made.
