Agreed. But was that really targeting? He never ducked his head. And also, even if called it’s same situation only 2 yards closer. 30 seconds on clock they are still forced to throw the ball.

officiating will not be an issue in the playoff. Instructions are handed down just like they are within each conference during conference. There are marching orders

Watching this game made me realize how much the ACC refs hate Miami.

"So THIS is what reasonable officiating looks like!" Kept saying it over and over. Now, it wasn't perfect, but they weren't trying to influence the outcome.

Overall the reffing was decent. A lot of holds than weren’t called (what else is new) but seemed like they mostly stayed out of the way and let the boys play.

Best officiated game this season. Sure they missed a couple of holds. They also missed us on the OJ play easy flag. If they wanted could have called Tourre for targeting (it wasn’t). Some of the A&M fans by us didn’t think it was targeting but we generally don’t get that call. I’ll take those officials any day and twice on Sunday!

On the OJ play, he was facing towards the field when he tackled. It's very possible that the officials took that into consideration. It wasn't like he could easily see that he was out.

I've been critical of officiating across the board, but this crew did as well as I've seen.

Compared to ACC , these refs were amazing!

The bar is low with ACC refs.
