Miami just finished bottoming out... This draft class was the last class of the prior regime and a class that is arguably the biggest debacle in program history... Add the situation that followed it that ended in September and you have a full colonic just having been completed... Forget records, schemes, rankings..., from an organizational, structural, roster depth, and overall systematic overhaul we are at point A... It will show in future drafts, in depth by position, in players not changing positions every year, and in recruiting... This program is ready to move forward with whomever, but there's no doubt we have just completed an epic purging

When your record-setting team MVP doesn't even get drafted I think you have a talent problem.

Then again, two guys we complained about all year, Rogers and Highsmith, got immediate free agent contracts. We have talent problems on sideline too.

Deon bush was coming off surgery Jamal carter could not catch up with the scheme and rayshawn Jenkins was inconsistent...They had no choice

not done yet. this senior class is Al's "scramble class".

This will be the year where golden won't have anymore excuses. All of them are his players and we'll see how he adjusts during games.

Surprised Hurns did not get drafted. He could turn into a real good Pro.

He's just not very good from a pro prospect standpoint, and this stood out most when Duke got hurt.. Coley catapulted to the best player on O and it want even a question.. Louisville then proceeded to build their game plan around shutting down Coley and it was a wrap, they were able to go one on one with Hurns and he couldnt make them pay

And that is a very fair assessment. I think that is how most feel. I think there has to be an improvement as well from a coaching standpoint. However, to sit here and say we had 'X' talent would be laughable. Lood at say a 9 win UM team from the 90's-early 2000's and you will still see some top tier talent. However, we got nothing right now. But there is some serious talent on this roster. And for the first time in years I am not thinking , 'if this guy can have a great year we could be good" I am more like, "I cant wait to see what these guys all do on the field together!"

Obviously we have a big ? at QB and DT, but I think there is enough elite level talent that we should be very good this upcoming season or it is time for a change. But I refuse to start 95 threads crapping on either the players or the team. I have set 'X' expectation and if this staff does not get these guys there, then I would be all for a regime change....

I agree, I'm thinking the DT position will improve based on our pass rushers. I think we got some beasts that will get a lot of attention making out DT 1 on 1. I know our running d will be a lot better with DP getting bigger and being able to go up against these OLines. As for the QB, I'm sure we all are praying Kayaa comes in and balls out. Another thing I was thinking, Golden can't mention the same excuses he had this past year, how bad would it look on him even if he mentions anything he said during this past season. I'm pretty sure he's told his coordinators or thinking " I can't defend you guys anymore." It's exciting to see what's gonna happen whether we improve or fail.

i think you're giving Louisville too much credit. wasn't very difficult to game plan against us. in between our qb play and our coaches struggles to make in game adjustments.

I absolutely love Alan Hurns heart, hustle and work ethic. That said, he was sucessful this year because he out worked practically every player in college football. That will carry you a lot further in college ball than it will in pro ball and the sad fact is that as much as we love what he did here, he just isn't that great an athlete.

Only the two most important positions on their respective sides of the ball.

The failures of the previous disaster regime don't excuse the lack of development in the current regime. Guys been here 3 years and can't produce NFL talent. When every single player from a class becomes a bust four years down the road it is a development issue.

its posts like these that start the repetitive arguments; this post leads to the listing of the 2009- 2010 recruiting classes and the dominoes begin to fall into a place we've been to way too much..When classes spit out 5 of the 25 players recruited there's no chance to develop

We are still in trouble until this gets locked up. Need Wyche to be an immediate big time player. Need one of the QBs to manage the game and move the sticks.
