Coach goes for it too much. TAMU and UNC we were in field goal range enough times to win the game and we went for it. MTSU doesn't have a chance to break Miami's defense if we kick the ball. Terrible logic like"Field goals won't win you the game" is BS. I once saw the Titans win a game with 7 field goals against the Texans. We could be 4-1 or possibly 5-0 with just that bit of decision making. **** against UNC we would have won with another miss or two.
When you really about fundamental football you talk about decision making. Never giving things away. That's all we do is give it away. Taking free points off the board. Sure you may get criticized for having an offense that doesn't put it in but it's better to be criticized when you win than when you lose every game.
Also in his presser corch mentioned we tried to run but TVD got hot. Maybe use the pass to open up the run? Gattis maybe terrible but this is Mario's plan.
Obviously we aren't good enough to get a yard or two against MTSU or anyone else for that matter. Why does the coach keep saying we are good up front? All the times except when it matters?
