The radio...

Today was all around effort (lack thereof). Player have to tackle on D, and coaches have to not call a wildcat on the goal line. We hit rock bottom today because the one thing we had going for us was no injuries/suspension. But we lost Thomas, Bandy, Pinckney, Dallas, all in the 1st half. That’s bad on top of all our other issues b

how can you blame the coaches for Pope being afraid to get hit?

Because A) you allow a ***** like that to get on the field or B) you can’t find a way to get him to stop being a ***** or C) you recruited said ***** or D) you don’t rip him a new ******* for being a *****

It was Richt that recruited him. Richt recruited a bunch of softies. The only guy that I saw that was ****ed of about the loss was Trevon Hill

When I was a catcher playing baseball growing up I used to be scared to block bad pitches. So the coaches forced me in practice to get behind the plate with full equipment but without a glove. 15 minutes each practice they would bean me with the ball over and over and over. Guess what? Eventually I lost all fear to the point where I wore less equipment for better maneuverability (shin guards only to knees not thighs, no shoulder pads on chest protector, etc).

I'm not sure how this works in football but as a coach if you have players playing with fear you either break that fear or bench them. It's not really that difficult.

I had a kid make a horrible mistake during a game. As he walked off the field, he said my bad coach. I replied nope completely my fault for having U out there in the first place. These kids don't decide player rotation.
