The problem with Richt

Perry has second start against FSU. His first start is week before and Richt draws up for an entire game, under gameday conditions, hardly any pass plays. The entire second half of the UNC game were running plays, maybe we threw it twice in the second half. There is not much strategic planning going on with Richt if he can look one week ahead going in with a green QB and not taking advantage of the opportunities to prepare Perry as well as possible.

I am concerned with our preparation for big games, I am probably more sensitive because every UGA fan has warned me of the one game a year stinker Richt delivers for an unexpected loss. I gave Richt a pass last year for the Pitt game because we had such a dream season before. But I am concerned now.

As far as talent goes, we are on our way and the talent on this team is getting to a place we can remember from the good old days, not yet there but certainly we are stocking the cupboards with some really good football players.

WInning against FSU by one point may just be a rite of passage but lets be a little more startegic in our long term planning. If Perry has no ability to do a pre-snap read of the defense and change out of a play where we have a handoff to Homer into the teeth of the defensive alignment then our coaches have not thought adequately about the path forward. They need to teach Perry or move on to Jarren Williams! I give them all the credit in the world from moving on from Rosier and Feagles, but what the **** took so long??? And why wweren't both of these issues dealt with in the off-season? Poor strategic planning would be the best and most likely culprit.

Dude against UNC are defense went crazy. our offense was barely on field.

It seems to me Richt doesn’t like to show his cards until very late in the game. This happens in almost every big game we play in.

If you walk into this forum on a Sunday morning after the Canes comeback win over f$u for the first victory at home against f$u in a decade and your first instinct is to ***** about conservative playcalling, I feel sad for you.

Go Canes!

It’s a football forum..? It’s not like he posted this five seconds after the win it’s next day. Tf

Strategic planning?
You can, but you better have alternatives.
We did.
Defence..

On Richt's playsheet he needs to write down these 2 plays. Screen, and bubble screen. If defense start stacking the box run some bubble screen. Get some horizontal game going. If the defense is just pinning their ears back then run some screens and draws. Also don't just run them once just because it failed the 1 time you called it. If the game says a screen or bubble screen could work in this situation run them.

OP is an idiot. I love how his solution is to go away from a RS FR Qb to a true freshmen QB with a half a quarter experience against SAV ST, He hasn't done **** and hasn't earned even PT. JW is redshirting and while I like him as a prospect this is Perry's team now and for those who think he will relinquish his job to JW, ya'll are idiots as well.

I’m perpetually surprised by how many people on this board don’t understand that establishing the run game early is like a boxer working his opponent’s body.

Problem with your plan is we have an incompetent QB coach who only got and maintains his job because of nepotism!

OP loses all credibility saying we now need to switch to JW.

About as retarded a suggestion as possible and invalidates anything else he says.

Stop with the D bailed him out --- he played conservative when we had bad field position BECAUSE he knew the D wouldnt give up a long drive
--- If their coach plays conservative and runs the ball - they avoid 2 TO's and we get the L
