The President's special assistants (are at Duke)

He doesn't have to do that. All he has to do is tell his Agent "I need another gig" or make himself openly available through phone conversations.
Agree with that bro...The point I'm trying to say is why would he stay if they say "on Wednesday you're being fired" knowing his buyout drops by 2mil? What is staying 4 more days doing for him if he knows it's over?

It's still his dream job, and one thing Manny Diaz hates, and absolutely despised, was getting fired mid-season at Texas. He wants to wait until the season is over to make changes (That's always openly been his thing). I'm sure he'd want nothing more to at least be given the opportunity to finish the season that he started. He sucks as a head coach and still has a lot to learn. But can't question his love for the team, and their love for him.

I don't know how these things go but wouldn't it be in Manny's benefit to go ahead negotiate and give UM them 2 million so he can get a head start on his next landing spot instead of waiting 4 days?
This. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to understand. He’s not staying on for 2 more days for money he’s not going to get. If this is even accurate about 12/1, they will just negotiate the date. He’s not getting that money regardless.

I'd take the 2 million. Who says Manny has to wait to look around anymore than our admin has to wait to look around until they fire Manny?

Traveled with the team to Duke per Ferman. No exactly sure what that means or if it means anything.
Deciding on interm coach for bowl game and what to do with the offense when Lashlee and most the offense coaching goto smu in a week

12/1 date is a hoax... coaching salaries are often to the end of regular season

On the most recent Orange Bowl Boys podcast, they mentioned that there is no drop down date in Manny’s buyout

Not sure what to believe e now
I believe they are correct. From what I read, there is no magical date for reduced buyout through his contract. There is a clawback if he gets another position post-Miami release.
Not saying this is correct, but just what I've researched open source.
