I get what you’re saying, man, but they won’t do that. There is nowhere for them to drop. The SEC will burn everything to the ground if you punish the loser of that game, which is why this solution creates an out for the committee.

It is what it is. We don’t have to love it, but we can’t do anything about it.

I would just be happy that we had a fair shot. In this scenario, other teams have to earn their way in over us. If they do, hats off to them.

If we had a) lost to FSU b) been in a tie game with 4-8 South Carolina with under 2 minutes left OR c) been in a tie game with 5-7 Auburn with under 5 minutes left they’d be crushing us. Bama did all ******* 3. It’s ridiculous.

The Georgia and Vandy wins are really good wins. The rest of their resume is flimsy as ****.

Agree with the OP 100% this makes the most sense.

Also agree with OP that this will not happen. As good as the Pitt win was, no way the Committee thinks it’s worthy of jumping us past 3/4 teams that all won. Not that much changed in one weekend among these 5 teams that all won, for that drastic a move.

We’ve just been put in too deep of a hole by this process at this point.
