How important is a win in the OB for perception and rankings for next season? In the almost 20 picks of the game I've seen one pick Miami, not unusual considering our last two games, but IMO another loss and we'll struggle to stay in the top 20, which would be pretty disappointing considering where we were at one point.

Just read an article about that on SB nation, said he didn't want it to wear out; it should go out on top. F that!! Turnover chain, turnover chain, turnover chain!!

Need to win this game to sustain momentum into next year. Losing to a POS Pitt after a 15 game streak still stings. Rosier needs to pack his ****...

To me this is do or die for Rosier. If he plays like he has the last 2 games IMO he won't be the starter next year. This is his chance to give Richt something to really think about in the off season about who is going to start.

Winning this game is big time important. Can't end the season on a 3 game losing streak and risk losing the momentum built up over the first 10 games/last 15. Would give us our biggest bowl win since the '04 Orange Bowl.

We should have put Pitt away early and sat the starters. Maybe Herndon would not have gotten hurt. Maybe Ahmmon doesn’t feel the urgency to have to spark his team and fck his knee up. Maybe Rosier would have learned by his 11th game where his fckin balls were. Lost respect for this kid after Pitt and his pu$$y comments after the game. I know this has nothing to do with the post but I needed to share that HA!

We saw last year how a dominant bowl victory can be a springboard into the next season. It isn't the end all be all, but momentum is a powerful thing. Especially in college football.

I didn’t want to upvote, but I had to.

Hopefully win with a solid offensive performance and finish in the top 10. Positive vibes would carry over during the off-season just as winning the RAB did last year.

Yes. This is the ABSOLUTE MOST IMPORTANT game for Miami. More important than the ACC championship game.:puzzled: hUh.

The bottom line: Miami desperately needs a win to go into next spring and summer and fall camp, with some POSITIVE VIBES and all that.

It's also time to remind people that Miami has a true home field advantage playing at Hardtock now. VT and ND were not expecting anything like the crowd noise that place has now.

Win and we are a top 10 team heading into next season. This is a big game for our program. You can't treat a new years six bowl like it's just another bowl. **** is major!

It would be nice to win a major bowl for the first time in forever showing the progress that this team has made. But it doesn't mean **** for 2018.

Bowl Games start momentum. Our team celebrated like they won the title after winning the RAB vs WVU last year and it was good for the program. You get rings for winning the Orange Bowl. Not the rings we play for but still a ring.

In my opinion Richt should split reps in this game from the start, unless Rosier is super hot from the start. Let the competition begin now for next season. Shirreffs hasn't had a real opportunity all year, because Rosier couldn't get a lead on any scrub team we played. Not saying he's the answer at all, but I would at least like to see him have a CHANCE to get something going. Rosier is a backup, and he should get back there ASAP.
